  • Publication number: 20210008166
Abstract: This disclosure provides a method of preventing, alleviating or treating a condition (i.e., neutropenia) in a subject in need thereof, the condition characterized by compromised white blood cell production in the subject. The method includes administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a protein complex on the same day as a chemotherapy regimen, wherein the protein complex is a modified human granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (hG-CSF) covalently linked to an immunoglobulin Fc region via a non-peptidyl polymer. The non-peptidyl polymer is site-specifically linked to an N-terminus of the immunoglobulin Fc region, and the modified hG-CSF comprises substitutions in at least one of Cys17 and Pro65.

  • Patent number: 7114878
Abstract: An irrigation gate system installed in a channel (such as a ditch or canal) for controlling the flow of water through the channel maintaining a desired level of water upstream from the irrigation gate system or for controlling water flow downstream from the irrigation gate system. The irrigation gate system includes a gate which is maintained in a closed position for preventing water flow past the gate or alternatively, in one of a plurality of open positions for allowing desired amounts of water in the channel to flow past the gate. The gate is vertically hingedly connected to a pipe shaft supported by a frame installed in the channel. A gate actuator moves the gate between its various positions upon receiving signals from an electronic programmable controller which in turn may receive signals from a variety of sources.

  • Publication number: 20040193501
Abstract: The Multiprice Commerce Service includes a method of procuring transactions between a vendor and customers of a Hyper Operator. The Hyper Operator constructs a real-time varying sellers' function which is a representation of the willingness of the vendor to sell a product as a function of price. The customers detect a sell offer for the product and each transmits a maximum price that she is willing to pay. The Hyper Operator aggregates the buy offers, constructs a real-time varying buyers' function which continuously compares the buyers' function to the sellers' function and when a comparison yields a profit level that at least meets a predetermined target level specified by the vendor, consummates a sale of the product between a qualifying customer and the vendor, all sales of the product to different buyers being conducted by the Hyper Operator in a single aggregate transaction.

  • Publication number: 20040193484
Abstract: The Hyper Advertising System includes a Hyper Operator that provides services for communication devices, customers who possess the devices, and vendors. The Hyper Operator receives advertisements from the vendors and uses a combination of data mining tools and a customer database, along with contextual information about subscribers, to generate acceptable recipients and transmit the advertisements to these recipients. Recipients forward the advertisement to other customers of the Hyper Operator known by the recipient to be possibly interested in the advertisement. The recipients who refer the advertisements to other customers are compensated.

  • Publication number: 20030135582
Abstract: A context-aware search service is provided to users requesting information. The context-aware search incorporates contextual information such as the context of the user making the request, the external context of the user or terminal that the user accesses, or the characteristics or context of the terminal. The contextualized request is processed through sets of analyses to customize the request including analyses to determine an exact nature of the request, analyses to limit a universe of reference to be examined to provide the result, and analyses to select the most appropriate content and format for presentation to the user once the result is obtained from separate service providers.

  • Publication number: 20030126095
Abstract: A mobile virtual network operators system is disclosed. The mobile virtual network operators system provides a single point of contact for wireless customers accessing a variety of services offered by a plurality of vendors. The mobile virtual network operators system may generate a sales proposal for a customer or a vendor and handle a proposal generated by a customer or a vendor. The mobile virtual network operators system may include a vendor database and a customer database. The mobile virtual network operators system receives, records and analyzes plurality of the customer's product search requests to form the customer's context aware purchase history. The customer database may store accumulated context aware purchase histories for a plurality of customers. The mobile virtual network operators system may generate a solicitation proposal for a customer based on the customer's context aware purchase history.
