Publication number: 20240094007Abstract: An Augmented Reality (AR) wayfinder tracks the current location of a user within an indoor location relative to a path defined through the indoor location for the user. The path is broken into segments, each segment is a straight line between two nodes, and each node represents either a starting point in the path, a turn along the path, or an ending point in the path. As the user traverses the path, a remaining distance between the user device and the next node in the path is calculated. An AR object with attributes that correlate to the remaining distance to the next node is blended into and superimposed into a video that the user is viewing through the user device of the physical environment as the user travels along the path.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 27, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: John Edward Haney, Ryan Scott Elliott, Kip Oliver Morgan, Kelli Lee

Patent number: 11919194Abstract: A method of plugging channels of a honeycomb body and a honeycomb body including plugged channels. The method includes applying a shear force to a plugging mixture including a plurality of inorganic particles, clay, and a liquid vehicle to alter the viscosity of the plugging mixture from a first viscosity prior to the vibrating to a second viscosity which is less than the first viscosity. A honeycomb body is placed into contact with the plugging mixture such that a portion of the plugging mixture having the second viscosity flows into the plurality of channels. Application of the shear force is stopped or reduced to increase the viscosity of the portion of the plugging mixture in the plurality of channels to greater than the first viscosity.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2021Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Corning IncorporatedInventors: Keith Norman Bubb, Theresa Chang, Joseph Henry Citriniti, Kevin Eugene Elliott, Xinyuan Liu, Robert John Locker, Prashanth Abraham Vanniamparambil, Kevin Lee Wasson, Shu Yuan

Patent number: 11384888Abstract: A trench-less plug assembly having a fluid release element, further including: a top retaining ring, a bottom retaining ring, a plurality of rods vertically connecting the top retaining ring to the bottom retaining ring. A retaining plug is adapted to traverse vertically along the plurality of rods, and a main fitting adapted for receiving the bottom retaining ring. A gasket is disposed between the main fitting and the retaining plug. The plurality of rods engage the retaining plug with threads, whereby the retaining plug is positioned vertically between the top retaining ring and the bottom retaining ring by rotational movement of the retaining plug. The main fitting is adapted to attach to a main pipeline, and the main fitting is adapted to receive a riser enclosing the fluid release element. In one example, the main fitting attaches to a main pipeline using a saddle.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2021Date of Patent: July 12, 2022Inventor: Brandon Lee Elliott

Patent number: 9738997Abstract: The present invention relates to a quilting machine and more specifically a long-arm stitching machine, or stitcher. The stitcher includes handles that are used to trace a laser dot on a pantograph pattern located in front of the fabric being quilted. Tracing the laser dot ensures that the needle and thread associated with the sewing machine head duplicates the pattern being traced. In the present invention, the handles are placed to one side of the sewing machine head to allow an operator to remain upright when watching the laser trace the pattern or the needle and thread quilting the fabric.Type: GrantFiled: April 17, 2015Date of Patent: August 22, 2017Assignee: Gammill, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Lee Elliott, Joseph Wesley Bauman, John Ray Busé, Bettilou Kenney Langford

Patent number: 9650734Abstract: The present invention relates to a sewing machine, specifically a long-armed stitcher. The present invention includes a computer device that may store pantograph patterns therein. The data including the pantograph patterns may be sent to projection units associated with the sewing machine head of the long-armed stitcher. The projection units use projection elements to project the pantograph patterns on the fabric to be stitched, allowing an operator of the stitcher to trace the projected pattern with a needle associated with the sewing machine head. Measurement devices associated with the sewing machine head determine head movement and alter the projected pattern accordingly such that the needle of the sewing head may continue to follow the pantograph pattern despite the head having moved in order to trace the pattern.Type: GrantFiled: October 24, 2014Date of Patent: May 16, 2017Assignee: Gammill, Inc.Inventors: Daniel Lee Elliott, Joseph Wesley Bauman, Bettilou Kenney Langford
