  • Publication number: 20100319137
Abstract: Stepped-edge and side-support members, systems, assemblies, and related methods for an innerspring assembly or other core are disclosed. In one embodiment, an innerspring assembly or core is provided having an interior area of a first height surrounded by one or more exterior, perimeter area(s) of shorter height(s) to provide a stepped-edge innerspring assembly or core. At least a portion of side-support members are placed onto at least a portion of the top surface of the perimeter area to provide edge-support for the innerspring assembly or core. In this manner, a greater portion of the side-support members can be disposed in the sleeping area of the innerspring assembly or core since the underlying perimeter area provides spring support to the side-support members. Further, this support can assist in retention and/or recovery of the shape of the side-support members to further prevent or reduce compression set of the side-support members.

  • Patent number: 7579564
Abstract: A device for indicating a level of a bulk material in a bin. A motor imparts a swinging motion to a paddle located inside the bin. When the paddle engages the material, drag on the paddle causes a counteracting force on the motor, indicating a presence of material at the location of the device. In various embodiments, a paddle shaft, having very little exposure inside the bin, extends from a protective enclosure. The shaft is capped with a flexible section having the paddle attached to it. The paddle is at a downward angle relative to the paddle shaft and extends into the bin so as to engage the material. The paddle may move at an urging of the material so as to avoid damage to the paddle, flexible section, and shaft.

  • Publication number: 20080251505
Abstract: This tool is designed to make woodworking easy, quiet, precise and sanding free. The laser beam will cut to an exact depth with extremely fine cuts that are smooth and ready for joining or finishing. The entire process will use tiny amounts of energy, compared to conventional tools, and will replace a number of other tools currently in use. With no powered moving parts it will be safer than any other tool. The frequency adjustable sensors will make it safe for use in any environment for the skilled and unskilled person. Sensors will react only to flesh and instantly cut the power. The parts, except for the head and table, are commercially available now. The use of combinations of these parts is the purpose of this invention.

  • Publication number: 20080200993
Abstract: The present invention describes an implantable tissue lifting and fixation device. More particularly, the present invention describes a temporal brow lifting device comprises of a bio-absorbable supportive backing. The device has a shape of a curvilinear end and a tail end region. The curvilinear end region comprises a plurality of attachment points protruding from the supportive backing, and the tail region comprises of a plurality of cavities in order to secure the device at the desired elevated position in the deep temporal fascia. The plurality of attachment points distributes tension in a multi-vector direction over the contact area between the device and the tissue. The attachment points can be manufactured separately and attached, however, preferably, the attachment points are made integral with the temporal brow lifting device.

  • Publication number: 20060182814
Abstract: A peritoneal dialysis solution that is biochemically balanced to correct metabolic acidosis associated with chronic renal failure in a more physiological manner. The peritoneal dialysis solution has a physiological pH, e.g. pH of 70 to 74 and contains bicarbonate at a concentration that is found in normal blood. Additionally, the solution contains carbon dioxide at a partial pressure that is similar to partial pressure of carbon dioxide found in normal blood. The peritoneal dialysis solution also contains a weak acid with a pKa of less than 5.0.

  • Patent number: 6888249
Abstract: A method of forming an air gap or gaps within solid structures and specifically semiconductor structures to reduce capacitive coupling between electrical elements such as metal lines, wherein a sacrificial material is used to occupy a closed interior volume in a semiconductor structure is disclosed. The sacrificial material is caused to decompose into one or more gaseous decomposition products which are removed, in one embodiment by diffusion, through an overcoat layer. The decomposition of the sacrificial material leaves an air gap or gaps at the closed interior volume previously occupied by the sacrificial material. The air gaps may be disposed between electrical leads to minimize capacitive coupling therebetween. Also disclosed are methods of forming multi-level air gaps and methods or forming over-coated conductive lines or leads wherein a portion of the overcoating is in contact with at least one air gap.
