    Abstract: The present invention provides a force sensor and an electrophysiology catheter, which can maintain an elastic tube within a predetermined deformation range that avoids breakage of the elastic tube and enables a prolonged service life of a strain gauge. The force sensor includes the elastic tube and the strain gauge that is arranged on the elastic tube. A pierced transverse groove is formed in the elastic tube, and at least one first limiting structure is disposed between opposing ends of the transverse groove. Each first limiting structure includes a first limiting portion and a second limiting portion. The first limiting portion is connected to a first wall of the transverse groove, while the second limiting portion is connected to a second wall of the transverse groove. In the event of an axial deformation occurring to the transverse groove, the first and second limiting portions will responsively move relative to each other until being engaged together.

    Abstract: Disclosed methods support dynamic adjustment of graphics processing unit (GPU) frequency. According to one embodiment, a program comprises workload to execute, at least in part, on a GPU of a data processing system. A predetermined memory/compute ratio for the program is automatically retrieved, in response to the program being called for execution. The memory/compute ratio represents a ratio of memory accesses within the program, relative to compute operations within the program. In addition, a frequency of the GPU is automatically adjusted, based on the predetermined memory/compute ratio for the program. For instance, the GPU may be set to a relatively low frequency if the predetermined memory/compute ratio is relatively high, or to a relatively high frequency if the predetermined ratio is relatively low. After the frequency of the GPU is automatically adjusted, the program may execute, at least in part, on the GPU. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for lowering an oil pipe in a gas well without well-killing, a soluble bridge plug and a material preparation method thereof, wherein, the method comprises the steps of: lowering a bridge plug in a wellbore such that the bridge plug blocks the wellbore at a predetermined location in the wellbore; injecting water in the wellbore after the pressure in the wellbore has been relieved so as to replace gases in the wellbore; and lowering an oil pipe in the wellbore to the location of the bridge plug. The method for lowering an oil pipe in a gas well without well-killing, the soluble bridge plug and the material preparation method thereof provided in the present invention successfully solve the problem of high cost for lowering an oil pipe under pressure after a fracturing fluid has been injected into the casing.

    Abstract: An electrophysiology catheter (100) includes a catheter distal portion (110) on which a force sensor (200) is arranged. The force sensor (200) includes an elastic tube (210) and strain gauges (220). The elastic tube (210) has a hollow portion in its wall, and the strain gauges (220) are disposed external to the hollow portion. Compared to the design with the strain gauges (220) overlapping the hollow portion, arranging them over solid portions of the elastic tube (210) allows the strain gauges (220) to collect more accurate electrical signals while suffering from less interference. This can result in a significant improvement in contact force measurement accuracy of the catheter distal portion (110).
