  • Publication number: 20090121506
Abstract: An extra wide snow shovel blade which may be affixed to existing, narrower conventional snow shovels. This is accomplished very quickly by simply inserting the blade of the conventional snow shovel into the ā€œVā€ shaped pocket on the back of the extra wide snow shovel blade, and then looping the elastic cord around the back of the shaft of the conventional shovel and hooking it to the eye bolt on the front of the blade.

  • Patent number: 7267179
Abstract: The method for rapid installation of a smaller diameter pressure control device usable on an annular BOP or any type of BOP. The step are first installing a flange with a threaded profile upon an annular BOP. Next, install a bell nipple on the flange, then install a first test plug in the base of the BOP or the base of the stack of BOPs. Then install a second test plug into the threaded profile of flange. Perform a pressure test on the flange and all sealing aspects of the annular BOP; depressurizing the flange and removing the test plug. Install a thread protector between flange and the bore of the annular BOP. Next initiate drilling operations; and upon indication of the need for wireline operations, or adapting the existing BOP to smaller working diameter pressure control device, remove the thread protector and install a high pressure assembly.

  • Patent number: 6786005
Abstract: Emergency release burglar bars having electronic locks that are actuated remotely by a signal generated by a smoke detector alarm provide security and will automatically unlock upon detection of smoke in the premises without human intervention to allow safe exit from the premises, and easy access and entry to the premises by emergency personnel. When the smoke detector/alarm senses smoke in the premises, its alarm is “powered on” to sound the alarm. A relay connected with the alarm circuit is activated simultaneously with the sounding of the alarm, which activates an “unlock” switch of a transmitter connected with the relay to transmit an RF “unlock” signal. Receivers on each of the electronic locks receive the transmitted signal, and activate an actuator, which actuates a mechanism to retract the bolt of the lock, allowing the burglar bars to be swung open.
