  • Publication number: 20040188504
Abstract: A container with first and second opposing, parallel side panels; third and fourth opposing, parallel side panels which define an enclosure; optional first, second, third and fourth corner panels interposed between adjacent ones of the side panels; first and second top flaps respectively associated with the first and second side panels by first and second top creases or fold lines; and third and fourth top flaps respectively associated with the third and fourth side panels by third and fourth top creases or fold lines. The first top crease or fold line is coplanar with a top plane of the container; and the third and fourth top creases are offset below the top plane.

  • Patent number: 6427894
Abstract: An electrode wire feeder, including a housing defining a sealed compartment for containing a suitable lubricant, respective pairs of feed rolls rotatably mounted exteriorly of said housing, on rotatable shafts, one of the shafts of each pair of feed rolls being mounted in eccentric mounting member rotatably mounted in one wall of the housing for moving one of the feed rolls of each pair between operative and inoperative positions, pinion gears mounted on the inner ends of the feed roll shafts inside the lubricant compartment with the pinion gears of the movable shafts moving into and out of meshing relation with the other pinion gears, a motor driven gear in the compartment and meshing with the pinion gears for driving the feed rolls, and manually operable levers for rotating the eccentric mounting members to move the feed rolls between operative and inoperative positions.

  • Patent number: 5913800
Abstract: A rowel for use on a spur during horseback and bull riding. A rubber composition coating is applied to a rigid metal blank comprising a central portion having a screw hole and integral, circumferentially-spaced, radiating arms. The blank is tapered radially outward from a first, maximum thickness at the central portion, to a second, minimum thickness at an outer edge of each arm, such that the thickness of the improved, rubber coated rowel is everywhere uniform. Versions of the improved rowel for saddleback riding and for bull riding have longitudinal serrations in the rubber coating surface. The improved rowel eliminates the risk of lacerating the hide of a horse or bull, especially when ridden in rodeo competition, and reduces the risk of other kinds of rowel-induced injury to the animal.

  • Patent number: 5263267
Abstract: Apparatus for the drying of sludges and other fouling feed materials. A rotary screw type indirect heat exchanger is provided having at least one screw member. The screw member includes a helical-shaped flight having a helix angle of about 10 degrees or less and a surface roughness of about 63 micro-inches or less. Means are provided for rotating and heating the screw member and for spreading feed material onto the screw member. The apparatus operates at heat transfer rates and for a time period sufficient to reduce the moisture content of the feed material without requiring mechanical cleaning of feed material foulants from the screw member.

  • Patent number: 4122712
Abstract: A fluid velocity measuring device which when placed in a freestream fluid flow causes vortices to be formed at a frequency proportional to the flow rate of the fluid. Sensors on the device generate electric signals with frequency proportional to the rate of vortex creation and with relative mean amplitudes indicative of fluid flow direction. Electric circuitry translates the electric signals into indications of fluid speed and direction.
