Abstract: Improved methods and systems for treating subterranean formations using a sub-surface mixing system are disclosed. The disclosed system includes a well head and a first flow line that directs a blender fluid from a blender to the well head. A second flow line directs a Liquefied Petroleum Gas stream to the well head. A static mixer is positioned downhole and is fluidically coupled to the well head. The well head directs the blender fluid to the static mixer through a first flow path and it directs the Liquefied Petroleum Gas stream from the well head to the static mixer through a second flow path. The static mixer then mixes the blender fluid and the Liquefied Petroleum Gas stream.

Abstract: Methods relating to servicing fluids that comprise gelled liquefied petroleum gas or servicing fluids that comprise a conventional gelled hydrocarbon fluid with liquefied petroleum gas are provided. In one embodiment, the methods of the present invention comprise providing a LPG servicing fluid comprising LPG and a gelling agent; pressurizing the LPG servicing fluid with one or more high-pressure pumps; introducing proppant particulates into at least a portion of the LPG servicing fluid using one or more high pressure pumps; and introducing the LPG servicing fluid comprising proppant particulates into at least a portion of a subterranean formation at a rate and pressure sufficient to create or enhance at least one or more fractures therein. In one embodiment, a gelling agent may be metered into the LPG on-the-fly.

An integrated material blending and storage system is disclosed with a storage unit, a blender located under the storage unit, a liquid additive storage module having a pump to maintain constant pressure at an outlet of the liquid additive storage module and a pre gel blender. Gravity directs a first input from the storage unit, a second input from the liquid additive storage module and a third input from the pre-gel blender to the blender.

Abstract: Of the methods provided herein, one includes a method comprising: providing a turbid treatment fluid having a first microorganism count; placing the turbid treatment fluid in a self-contained, road mobile UV light treatment manifold that comprises a UV light source; irradiating the turbid treatment fluid with the UV light source in the self-contained, road mobile UV light treatment manifold that comprises an attenuating agent so as to reduce the first microorganism count of the turbid treatment fluid to a second microorganism count to form an irradiated treatment fluid, wherein the second microorganism count is less than the first microorganism count; and placing the irradiated treatment fluid having the second microorganism count in a subterranean formation, a pipeline or a downstream refining process.
