  • Patent number: 11560787
Abstract: A stand-alone apparatus for determining the level (X) of liquid (F) in oil boreholes (P) overcomes the need of a pressurized gas source. A loudspeaker-type electroacoustical transducer (11) both emits characteristic acoustical signals through the mouth of the borehole and detects the return of an echo from the surface of the liquid downhole for clocking the time-interval between emission and return to determine the level of the liquid. To overcome the limited power inherent in a loudspeaker-type transducer relative to masking borehole acoustic noise, a method of operation correlates the intensity amplitude of the detected echo with the emitted signal. Another solution comprises repeating emission and detection cycles a number of n times and then adding or integrating the n curves into a resulting curve which is filtered. The detected liquid level may be used for determining the submergence and regulating the speed of a pump in the borehole.

  • Publication number: 20190136675
Abstract: A fluid injection flow control device for use in oil wells, designed to maintain, the injection rate within a determined layer between two packers, being the puncture zone of an injection well. The device, is axially coupled to a tubing string, consists of a variety of modules formed by an upper coil carrier onto which a primary coil is helically wound which, is connected to the pipe through which the fluid flows, causes a certain load drop in a side-pocket mandrel, which consists of two main parts namely a tubing string that allows for axial tubing continuity and a pocket in which a short or long flow direction vane is installed that determines the outflow towards the unit by way of a transverse opening or its passage to the next module's corresponding coil through transition tubing.

  • Patent number: 10208576
Abstract: A pump system and a method for pumping viscous or partially viscous media out of a borehole. The pump system includes a well pipe which is installed in the borehole and a motor which is coupled to an eccentric screw pump, the eccentric screw pump including one or more stators and one or more rotors which are received in the stator(s) so as to rotate eccentrically. One or more connection mechanisms fix the eccentric screw pump in the well pipe in a force-fitting and/or formfitting manner. For the purpose of removing the eccentric screw pump from the borehole, the eccentric screw pump is held by means of the one or more connection mechanisms with an axial freedom of movement.

  • Publication number: 20120034120
Abstract: Arrangement for hydrocarbon extraction in wells using progressive cavity pumps which consists of a rotating tube located inside a fixed tube which extend along the well casing. The rotating tube carries fluid from the bottom of the well to the surface. Between the rotating tube and the fixed tube there is an “O” ring space into which an anti-friction lubricant is injected between the external face of the rotating tube and the internal face of the fixed tube. The bottom end of the rotating tube has a section holding holes through which fluid flows into it, it is connected to the progressive cavity pump by means of a rod, and its top end is connected to a production outlet and to its propelling motor mechanism. The upper section of the fixed tube is connected to an anti-friction lubricant injection pipe in the space left between the rotating and the fixed tubes.
