  • Patent number: 7640927
Abstract: A paintball marker using a lightweight bolt design suing a composite bolt structure with a light weight body and precision sear release edge adapted for consistent sear over the life of the marker. The composite bolt structure also has a spring retention end with a sear access slot and sear retraction ramp for guiding the sear to the precision release edge.

  • Publication number: 20090217443
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a low-profile batting helmet. The low-profile helmet includes a gradually-sloped front portion for covering and protecting the front portion of a user's head. The gradual slope of the front portion permits the helmet to conform closely to the users' head, providing more contact between the helmet and the wearer's head than occurs with a conventional helmet. The close conformity of the helmet to the user's head provide a snug fit to secure the helmet to the head and increased comfort to the wearer. In addition, the gradual slope of the front portion presents a decreased vertical surface component (compared to conventional helmets) such that a strike from a stray ball is more easily deflected compared to a strike to a conventional helmet.

  • Publication number: 20090031484
Abstract: A protective face guard for use in playing sports. The guard includes a shield having a transparent portion extending over an unobstructed viewing area to enable the wearer to have a clear line of vision. The unobstructed viewing area is preferably greater in diameter than about 44 mm for baseball play and greater in diameter than about 60 mm for softball play so as to enhance visibility over more conventional face guards. The transparent portion of the shield is constructed of a material that will withstand the impact of a ball, and is preferably made of clear or tinted polycarbonate material. The guard is configured to be secured to a helmet or other headgear in a manner to further support the shield upon impact and minimize flex.

  • Patent number: 7377003
Abstract: A compactable paintball marker squeegee adapted to compact for carrying on the playing field for paintball games. The squeegee is designed to compact into smaller arrangements while providing the capability of wiping paint out a marker barrel. The present invention is designed such that the system will lock into an elongated position and may be unlocked and flipped closed with a single hand motion for compaction during play of a paintball game. Additional improvements provide for a protective design to provide improved insertion into clothing with a protected cleaning head, and improved cleaning head movements through a pear-shaped connection aperture for the pivoting head.

  • Patent number: 7357130
Abstract: A mechanism for feeding uniformly-sized spherical projectiles such as paintballs into a gun adapted to shoot said projectiles is positioned in a lower region of a paintball-holding magazine, and includes a spinning body in the form of a spool from the peripheral side of which project radial arms shaped and dimensioned to urge projectiles toward a duct leading to the ammunition intake port of the gun. The spool is driven by a switchable electrical motor. In order to avoid gaps into the row of paintballs that are urged toward the ammunition intake port when the motor is not running which could result in dry firing, a resiliently variable linkage between the propelling arms is provided by a spiral spring or a pair of stretchable coil springs.

  • Patent number: 7316431
Abstract: An auto-adapting fitting for releasably connecting in an end-to-end orientation, a first tube end to a second tube end having an outer diameter within a specified range for use between the ammunition feed port of a paintball marker and the outlet port of a paintball magazine. The fitting is formed onto the end portion of the marker inlet tube. The fitting comprises a resilient sleeve-shaped collar having a number of radially, inwardly extending projections that pass through corresponding radially penetrating holes through the side wall of the end portion of the feed port near its upper opening. The projections bear against the outer surface of the magazine outlet tube. Magazine outlet tubes of a larger outer diameter will cause the collar to be resiliently pushed outwardly.

  • Patent number: 7249651
Abstract: A portion of a mask or helmet covering a user's ear has an aperture covered by a sound-collecting and sound-transmissive protector swivelingly mounted thereon. The protector has a substantially parabolic reflector surface oriented substantially perpendicular to the protector's axis of rotation which magnifies sounds arriving from a particular angular direction and directs the sound through a plurality of holes axially penetrating through the protector from an outer to an inner surface. A user manipulable actuator nib extends axially outwardly from a peripheral portion of the outer surface of the protector allowing user control of swiveling movement.

  • Publication number: 20070062510
Abstract: A paintball marker using a gas combination chamber having multiple inputs for sealably connecting to multiple gas supply canisters. Multiple seals and piercing needles are provided to release the compressed gas from the separate canisters into the combination chamber. A single release valve is then provided for launching the paintball marker using the combined gas supply. A body including an alignment chamber and a screw on back cover is provided for aligning the canisters in position and then generating the pressure for sealing and piercing the multiple canisters. The multiple canister connection provides an increased gas capacity over known markers while still using the low supply capacity of the commercially available gas canisters. The simple guided alignment provided by the marker body and the screw on pressure cap provide for quick field replacement of the canisters in the rough playing environment associated with the game of paintball.

  • Publication number: 20070062363
Abstract: A paintball marker utilizing a combustible material as the means for propulsion, a pressurized fuel injection system providing a continuously fixed amount of fuel into the combustion chamber despite diminishing amounts of fuel as use continues, and a cooling assembly to dissipate excess heat from the combustion chamber after a combustion reaction is provided.

  • Publication number: 20070050895
Abstract: A combination wrap-around mask and goggle is made from a single transparent and flexible plastic material monolithically formed in a single cavity mold. The structure is devoid of any cavities or protrusions that could interfere with the easy withdrawal of the device from the mold. Front to back oriented ribs, gussets and fins are used to impart rigidity to various areas of the structure.
