  • Publication number: 20060249131
Abstract: A mechanism for feeding uniformly-sized spherical projectiles such as paintballs into a gun adapted to shoot said projectiles is positioned in a lower region of a paintball-holding magazine, and includes a spinning body in the form of a spool from the peripheral side of which project radial arms shaped and dimensioned to urge projectiles toward a duct leading to the ammunition intake port of the gun. The spool is driven by a switchable electrical motor. In order to avoid gaps into the row of paintballs that are urged toward the ammunition intake port when the motor is not running which could result in dry firing, a resiliently variable linkage between the propelling arms is provided by a spiral spring or a pair of stretchable coil springs.

  • Publication number: 20060085882
Abstract: A combination wrap-around mask and goggle is made from a single transparent and flexible plastic material monolithically formed in a single cavity mold. The structure is devoid of any cavities or protrusions that could interfere with the easy withdrawal of the device from the mold. Front to back oriented ribs, gussets and fins are used to impart rigidity to various areas of the structure.

  • Publication number: 20060042614
Abstract: Each one of a set of substitutable paintball magazines of different capacities can be quickly mounted on a universal coupling base plugged into the projectile feeding port of a paintball marker. The coupling base incorporates a motor whose shaft connects to a paintball agitator within the magazine. The set of magazines offers a convenient selection of loading capacities to accommodate a variety of game circumstances and environments.

  • Patent number: 7003802
Abstract: In a face mask for use in the practice of paint-ball games or other such activities requiring effective shielding of the face, a large unitary lens is applied to an aperture extending from the brow to the chin and from one temple to the other. The lens is secured by a pair of releasable clips that can be quickly manipulated for cleaning or replacement of the lens in a matter of seconds. A semi-conical breath deflector extends behind the lens from the nose bridge to the base of the lens channeling the breath away from the lens and towards ventilating slits in the base of the mask. The slant of the deflector avoids any obstruction of the field of vision such as created by the lens frame of conventional goggles and face masks.

  • Patent number: 6966313
Abstract: In a paintball gun in which projectiles are admitted into the breech from a feed port through a radial aperture, sensors positioned in line with the aperture detect whether a projectile is completely or partially inserted into the breech, or totally missing. An electronic logic circuit allows the firing of the gun only when the projectile is fully inserted, and prevents the firing when the projectile is only partially inserted into the breech. A dry firing of the gun is enabled if the breech remains empty of any projectile for a short period. The dry firing is intended to dislodge any projectile jammed in the feed port.

  • Publication number: 20050178610
Abstract: A portion of a mask or helmet covering a user's ear has an aperture covered by a sound-collecting and sound-transmissive protector swivelingly mounted thereon. The protector has a substantially parabolic reflector surface oriented substantially perpendicular to the protector's axis of rotation which magnifies sounds arriving from a particular angular direction and directs the sound through a plurality of holes axially penetrating through the protector from an outer to an inner surface. A user manipulable actuator nib extends axially outwardly from a peripheral portion of the outer surface of the protector allowing user control of swiveling movement.

  • Publication number: 20050167985
Abstract: An auto-adapting fitting for releasably connecting in an end-to-end orientation, a first tube end to a second tube end having an outer diameter within a specified range for use between the ammunition feed port of a paintball gun and the outlet port of a paintball magazine. The fitting is formed onto the end portion of the gun inlet tube. The fitting comprises a resilient sleeve-shaped collar having a number of radially, inwardly extending projections that pass through corresponding radially penetrating holes through the side wall of the end portion of the feed port near its upper opening. The projections bear against the outer surface of the magazine outlet tube. Magazine outlet tubes of a larger outer diameter will cause the collar to be resiliently pushed outwardly.

  • Patent number: 6725852
Abstract: An ammunition magazine for dispensing uniformly-sized spherical projectiles such as paintballs into a gun adapted to shoot said projectiles has a generally oblong, closed container having a channel defined in its bottom from a distal axial end to an outlet port located in a lowermost, median portion of the container. The proximal portion of the container floor defines a slanted platform which extends above and beyond the outer port so that projectiles are urged by the platform toward the distal end of the channel from where they roll under the platform and into the outlet port. A helicoidal stirring arm projects from a distal area of the platform obliquely over the exposed part of the channel. The steering arm is driven by an electrical motor controlled by a switch conveniently mounted on the side of the magazine. The arm spins in a ball-uplifting direction to break any jamming of the balls above the channel.
