Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and an apparatus for allocating a virtual resource in a NFV network. The method includes: receiving, by a VIM, a plurality of virtual resource request messages, where each virtual resource request message includes identification information, and the identification information represents at least one virtual resource use unit; determining a priority of each virtual resource request message according to a preset rule and the identification information; and allocating, a resource according to the priority of each virtual resource request message. According to the method in the embodiments of the present invention when resource requests are processed concurrently, resource utilization efficiency and flexibility can be improved, system stability and reliability can be improved, and faster and more efficient responses can be made to some emergencies.

Abstract: In a NFV resource processing method and a VNFM, a first VNFM sends, without using an NFVO, a first resource request message for requesting a resource to a second VNFM connected to the first VNFM. When a resource of a target VIM connected to the second VNFM meets information about a resource that is applied for, the first VNFM determines, according to a received first feedback message, information about the target VIM that can reserve or allocate the resource that is applied for. A resource management network is formed between the first VNFM and the second VNFM, so that the interconnected VNFMs can perform resource processing. This process does not require participation of the NFVO. Therefore, impact on the network if the NFVO is faulty is avoided, and a distributed resource management manner is implemented.

Abstract: A method, system, and apparatus are provided for retiring computer memory blocks. Two overall schemes are provided for separating poorly functioning blocks from normally functioning blocks. In a first scheme, after data relocation is finished, firmware remembers the old physical memory block. As soon as the system writes to the old physical memory block with new data, firmware issues a read again and receives back a count of error bits. If the returned error bits are still high, then the system identifies the block as being weak and retires the block. In a second scheme, firmware tracks statistics for data relocates, block reads, activity timers, among other statistics. If some blocks have abnormal activities (e.g., too many data relocates, too many reads, etc.), then the system may identify the block as being weak and may retire the physical memory block.

Abstract: A method of wear leveling receives a write request. The write request indicates received data to be written to memory blocks. The method detects a system condition. Example system conditions include a random write condition, a garbage collection start condition, and/or a sequential write condition. Based on the system condition, the method determines whether the received data comprises hot data or cold data. Some embodiments use a write amplification value to determine the system condition. If the received data comprises hot data, the method writes the received data to a cold block. If the received data comprises cold data, the method writes the received data to a hot block.

Abstract: A life cycle management method and device for a network service are provided. The method includes determining, by an operation support system (OSS) according to a target network service (NS), an existing virtualized network function (VNF) instance required for life cycle management on the target NS; sending, by the OSS, a life cycle management request of the target NS to a network function virtualization orchestrator (NFVO), where the life cycle management request includes a mapping relationship between an identifier of the existing VNF instance and a characteristic parameter corresponding to the identifier; and receiving, by the NFVO, the life cycle management request from the OSS for the target NS, and performing life cycle management on the target NS according to the existing VNF instance and the mapping relationship. In embodiments of the present disclosure, processing efficiency of life cycle management and resource utilization can be improved.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and a device for monitoring a radio link. In the method, a user terminal monitors a cell specific reference signal (CRS) and a channel state indication reference signal (CSI-RS), and judges whether to initiate radio resource control (RRC) connection re-establishment according to the CRS and the CSI-RS. The device provided in an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a monitoring unit and a judging unit. By applying the technical solutions provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, monitoring of the radio link can be more accurate, and RRC connection re-establishment can be performed in time, to reduce occurrence of misjudgments, thereby improving the experience on the user terminal.

Abstract: The present invention is applicable to the field of communications and specifically provides a method for determining a cell handover. The method includes: receiving related information of a handed-over UE that is sent by a source base station when the source base station initiates a handover operation; and determining, according to the related information of the handed-over UE, whether to hand over the handed-over UE back to a source cell of the source base station, where the related information of the handed-over UE at least includes a handover cause reference value of the UE in the source cell. Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a device for reporting cell information and adjusting a cell mobility parameter. The method for reporting cell information includes a connection failure occurring on a terminal and re-establishing a radio resource control RRC connection with a cell by the terminal. A cell identity of a neighboring cell of a source cell and event information of the neighboring cell that is recorded by the terminal before the connection failure occurs is sent by the terminal to a base station that controls a cell where the RRC connection is re-established. Technical solutions provided in embodiments of the present invention may help improve the accuracy of mobility parameter adjustment on a network side and further improve the terminal handover efficiency.

Abstract: The present invention provides a radio access network device, a user equipment, and a method for reporting status of a buffer. The method includes: determining whether a rate at which a user equipment receives service data is lower than a rate at which the user equipment plays service data; increasing resource for receiving downlink service data for the user equipment if it is determined that the rate at which the user equipment receives service data is lower than the rate at which the user equipment plays service data. The present invention solves the problem of service interruption caused when all the service data cached in the buffer is consumed due to that the rate at which the user equipment receives service data is lower than the rate at which the user equipment plays service data after network environment changes, thereby guaranteeing the continuity of the service.
