Abstract: A server rack includes a base and a receiving bracket secured to the base. The base includes a pair of parallel guiding rails. A limiting member is formed on each guiding rail and extends along a first direction. A horizontal guiding slot is defined in the limiting member along an extension direction of each guiding rail. The receiving bracket is supported on and slidable long the guiding rails in the first direction, including a pair of opposite sidewalls parallel to the guiding rails. A horizontal sliding portion is formed on each sidewall of the receiving bracket corresponding to the guiding slot of the limiting member, and engaged with the guiding slot in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction when the receiving bracket is entirely retracted into the base, to prevent the receiving bracket shaking relative to the base during shipment.

Abstract: A computer system includes a chassis (10), a securing panel (30), a motherboard (20), and a heat sink (40). The chassis includes a plate (12) having at least one positioning post (14) extending upwardly therefrom. The securing panel defines a plurality of screw holes (38) and at least one positioning hole (34) for the at least one positioning post extending therethrough. The motherboard is placed on the securing panel and secured with the chassis. The motherboard includes a plurality of through holes (22) corresponding to the plurality of screw holes of the securing panel and an electronic component (50) located among the through holes. The heat sink with a plurality of fastening bolts (42) placed on the electronic component. The fastening bolts of the heat sink are screwed into the through holes of the motherboard and the screw holes of the securing panel to fasten the securing panel and the heat sink at opposite sides of the motherboard.

Abstract: A mounting apparatus for an expansion card (30) includes a computer panel (12), a bracket (14) mounted to the computer panel, and a card holder (20) mounted to the bracket. At least a post (1416) is formed on the bracket. The card holder includes a body (22) glidingly mounted to the bracket for installing the expansion card and a handle (24) resisted by the post of the bracket for preventing the body from sliding out so as to fix the card holder in position.

Abstract: A mounting device for a circuit card includes a motherboard adapted for receiving the circuit card inserted therein, a computer enclosure configured for accommodating the motherboard, a securing plate mounted on the computer enclosure, and a retaining member with a receiving slot. The retaining member slides along the securing plate and in parallel with one end edge of the circuit card to have the end edge of the circuit card received in the receiving slot. A locking structure is formed between the retaining member and the securing plate for locking the retaining member to the securing plate.

Abstract: A computer enclosure includes a rear plate (20) defining a through opening (22) therein, a mounting bracket (30) secured on the rear plate to cover the through opening of the rear plate, and an interchangeable I/O plate (50). The mounting bracket includes a top wall (32) perpendicular to the rear plate and, a front wall (36) parallel to the rear plate. The top wall forms an engaging tab (322) thereon. The front wall defines a through opening (362) therein corresponding to the through opening of the rear plate. The I/O plate is configured for covering the through opening of the front wall of the mounting bracket, and defines a securing hole (532) therein for receiving the engaging tab of the mounting bracket. A locking piece (57) is formed on the I/O plate and together with the I/O plate sandwiches an edge of the through opening of the mounting bracket therebetween.

Abstract: A computer system includes a motherboard (10 or 50) with at least one CPU heat sink mounted thereon and a chassis (20) for mounting the motherboard therein. The chassis includes a plurality of bumps (23), and a plurality of knockdown standoffs (25). Some of the bumps are under the at least one CPU heat sink, the standoffs are mounted on the bumps under the CPU heat sink for resisting against the motherboard and supporting the CPU heat sink. Some of the bumps are spares adapted for mounting another type of motherboard to the chassis.

Abstract: A data storage device carrier assembly includes a first carrier, a second carrier, and a bracket. The first carrier includes a pair of parallel side walls configured for mounting large data storage devices therebetween. The second carrier includes a pair of parallel side plates configured for mounting small data storage devices therebetween. A distance between the pair of side plates of the second carrier is less than a distance between the pair of side walls of the first carrier. The bracket is attached on one of the side plates of the second carrier to cooperatively form a unit having a width approximately same as the distance between the pair of side walls of the first carrier. The unit is mountable between the side walls of the first carrier.

Abstract: Amounting apparatus used to fasten a PCB (10) with through holes (12) includes a supporting board (20) and a plurality of clips (30) mounted on the PCB. The supporting board has a plurality of standoffs (22) corresponding to the through holes of the PCB. Each of the clips includes a resilient portion (34) and defines a mounting opening (35) for having the standoffs sliding therein. When the standoffs press on the resilient portions of the clips, the PCB is clamped on the supporting board.

Abstract: A drive bracket assembly includes a drive bracket and a back panel. The drive bracket includes a first side plate and a second side plate with a securing post. The securing post includes a thin shank portion and a thick head portion. The back panel has a first edge and a second edge, and defines a locking hole corresponding to the securing post. The locking hole has an inserting hole and a restricting hole. In assembly, the securing post inserts into the inserting hole of the back panel with the head portion passing through the inserting hole and the shank portion received in the inserting hole. The back panel moves to have the first edge resisting against the first side plate. The shank portion of the securing post moves into the restricting hole to sandwich the back panel between the head portion of the securing post and the second side plate.

Abstract: A drive bracket assembly for carrying data storage devices, includes a first carrying bracket having a pair of side walls, a second carrying bracket mounted in the first carrying bracket, and a locking latch. The second carrying bracket includes a pair of side walls. A securing member including a first blocking tab formed on each side wall of the second carrying bracket. A locking latch is resiliently and moveably attached to one of the side walls of the first carrying bracket. A blocking member corresponding to the first blocking tab of the securing member is formed on the locking latch, for preventing a movement of the second carrying bracket along a first direction parallel to the side walls of the first carrying bracket. The first carrying bracket can be mounted in the first carrying bracket for carrying small type data storage devices. The second carrying bracket can be removed from the first carrying bracket so that the first carrying bracket can hold more large type data storage devices.

Abstract: A disk drive cage includes a bracket (20) and a shielding member (10). The bracket includes two parallel side plates (21, 22). A positioning flange (212) is bent from one of the side plates (21). The shielding member includes a front wall (13), a top wall (15), a bottom wall (16), a first side wall (12), and a second side wall (14). The bracket is slidably received in the chassis. The bracket comprises a head portion with a guiding slot defined therein. The locking piece has a driven edge. The locking piece is slidably attached to the head portion of the bracket with the driven edge crossing the guiding slot and the locking piece inserted in the locking hole of the chassis. The driving post inserts in the guiding slot and resists against the driven edge of the locking piece. The driving post moves in the slot and exerts force on the driven edge of the locking piece to drive the locking piece to slide out of the locking hole.
