Sacrificial semiconductor structures (e.g., fins) are formed with metal gate structures in a through via region. An opening is formed through BEOL layers to expose the metal gates, which may then be removed. A liner layer is formed on sidewalls of the opening including on semiconductor structures extending from the substrate. The opening is then extended into the substrate and a through substrate via is formed from the extended opening.

    Abstract: The invention provides a recombinant West Nile virus, in which the amino acid sequence of envelope E protein is genetically modified to attenuation, and its RNA genome is inserted with a foreign gene fragment. The engineered E gene contains the mutation of five amino acids for reducing its neural virulence to the central nervous system; the integrated foreign gene between E and S1 gene makes a new chimerical virus. Thus, the present invention provides the application of this attenuated West Nile virus as a vaccine in preventive medicine and the application of the RNA-viral vector as a novel gene-drug in the pharmaceutical industry. The newly attenuated virus may fill the gap of no live-attenuated vaccine to the West Nile virus epidemic. The attenuated and recombinant virus can be used as an RNA oncolytic virus to target solid tumors, especially neural tumors, for cancer therapy with higher safety.

Hence, the body fluid is directed to enter the passageway via the inlet and exit via the outlet when the adjusting mechanism is not in the second state.

A light field display comprises an array of 3D light field pixels, each of which comprises an array of corrugated OLED pixels, a metasurface layer disposed adjacent to the array of 3D light field pixels, and a plurality of median layers disposed between the metasurface layer and the corrugated OLED pixels. Each of the corrugated OLED pixels comprises primary or non-primary color subpixels, and produces a different view of an image through the median layers to the metasurface to form a 3D image. The corrugated OLED pixels combined with a cavity effect reduce a divergence of emitted light to enable effective beam direction manipulation by the metasurface. The metasurface having a higher refractive index and a smaller filling factor enables the deflection and direction of the emitted light from the corrugated OLED pixels to be well controlled.
