    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a solution for video processing. A method for video processing comprises: selecting, for a conversion between a current video block of a video and a bitstream of the video, a target scheme from a plurality of candidate schemes for adjusting a merge candidate for the current video block; and performing the conversion based on the target scheme, wherein the plurality of candidate schemes comprise at least one of a first set of candidate schemes and a second set of candidate schemes, in each of the first set of candidate schemes, a first motion vector (MV) of the merge candidate is adjusted with a first motion vector difference (MVD), and a second MV of the merge candidate is kept unadjusted, in each of the second set of candidate schemes, the second MV is adjusted with a second MVD, and the first MV is kept unadjusted.
