  • Patent number: 9870411
Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for managing data ingestion. Aspects of the invention include a pluggable architecture channel service (e.g., a push/pull channel service) to ingest raw data. Aspects of the invention also include a pluggable architecture formatter to convert ingested raw data into a common format, such as, for example, key value pairs. Aspects of the invention also include an EAV storage with functionality allowing consumers to define multiple entities on (and spanning) ingested data sets. Accordingly, data can be ingested without data loss, without having to define extraction logic, and without having to define a storage schema.

  • Publication number: 20170372088
Abstract: Lightweight trusted execution technologies for internet-of-things devices are described. In response to a memory request at a page unit from an application executing in a current domain, the page unit is to map a current virtual address (VA) to a current physical address (PA). The policy enforcement logic (PEL) reads, from a secure domain cache (SDC), a domain value (DID) and a VA value that correspond to the current PA. The PEL grants access when the current domain and the DID correspond to the unprotected region or the current domain and the DID correspond to the secure domain region, the current domain is equal to the DID, and the current VA is equal to the VA value. The PEL grants data access and denies code access when the current domain corresponds to the secure domain region and the DID corresponds to the unprotected region.

  • Publication number: 20170353935
Abstract: Methods are directed towards initializing a path maximum transmission unit value for two gateways in communication via a network tunnel (e.g., VPN environment). The initialized path maximum transmission unit value is used in establishing the network tunnel of the two gateways. Methods are also directed towards synchronizing path maximum transmission unit values for the two gateways after the network tunnel has been established. These methods minimize the occurrence of dropped data packets arising from mismatched path maximum transmission unit value between the gateways.

  • Patent number: 9755997
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for efficient peer-to-peer communication support in interconnect fabrics. Network interfaces associated with agents are implemented to facilitate peer-to-peer transactions between agents in a manner that ensures data accesses correspond to the most recent update for each agent. This is implemented, in part, via use of non-posted “dummy writes” that are sent from an agent when the destination between write transactions originating from the agent changes. The dummy writes ensure that data corresponding to previous writes reach their destination prior to subsequent write and read transactions, thus ordering the peer-to-peer transactions without requiring the use of a centralized transaction ordering entity.

  • Patent number: 9720285
Abstract: An alignment method for a liquid crystal display panel performs, at the side of a first substrate, an exposing alignment procedure upwardly and downwardly along the long edge of a pixel, the exposing width is an integral multiple of the width of the pixel; and performs, at the side of a second substrate, the exposing alignment procedure leftwardly and rightwardly along the short edge of the pixel, the exposing width is an integral multiple of half of the length of the pixel. By adjusting the exposing width in optical alignment, the alignment method can change the shape of dark line pattern, thereby increasing light transmission rate. Compared to the existing optical alignment approaches, the alignment method can increase the light transmission rate at least up to 16.5%.

  • Publication number: 20170187752
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses and methods may provide for changing the execution mode of a device based on policy enforcement request that is received when the device is located proximately to a specific area. The policy enforcement request is verified with respect to a System on Chip (SoC) platform. An enforcement manager of the SoC platform may enforce the received policy enforcement request if verification is successful, and an attestation controller may report the enforced policy request and a status of the platform to an external device from which the policy request originates.
