    Abstract: An exemplary access control system controls access to a computing system such as a data storage system. For example, the exemplary access control system includes a remote management system that receives a request to operate on an element of the computing system and generates a message based on the request and a first token for the remote management system that is associated with the request. The message includes data representative of a second token for the remote management system. The remote management system signs the message and transmits the signed message to the computing system, which is configured to verify and use the signed message, including the second token included in the signed message, to obtain and use a local access token to access and operate on the element in accordance with the request.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a technique for load balancing of throughput for multi-PHY networks using decision trees is provided. A first device of a mesh communication network may collect at least one transmission metric indicative of a primary link and a secondary link between the first device and a second device of the mesh communication network. The first device may provide the at least one transmission metric as input to one or more decision trees comprising one or more attributes that are each indicative of a threshold for a corresponding transmission metric. The first device may obtain an output from the decision tree comprising a selection of either the primary link or the secondary link. The first device may send, based on the output from the decision tree, one or more packets to the second device using the selected link.

The device forms, after determining that a power outage has occurred, a sub-DAG that is rooted at the device by establishing one or more other devices in the mesh network as routing children of the device in the sub-DAG. The device joins the sub-DAG to a DAG rooted at the root node.

The communications device is configured to: receive, during running of a timer T11, indication information sent by a network device, where the indication information includes HARQ feedback information for initial transmission or retransmission of data of a terminal device, and the timer T11 is started after the initial transmission or the retransmission of the data and is used to monitor a physical downlink control channel PDCCH; and stop the timer T11. Because the timer is stopped immediately when the HARQ feedback information for the data is received, the terminal device is allowed to enter a sleep state. In this way, duration in which the terminal device is in an active state can be shortened, and power consumption can be reduced.
