Abstract: A sliding guide rail system for slidably opening and closing a drawer within an article of furniture or other equipment, the system comprises a mounting bracket (10) for fixing the system to the article of furniture, a fixed guide (20) mounted on the mounting bracket, an intermediate rail (30) and a pull-out guide (40). The fixed (20) and pull-out guides (40) each have a slidably movable housing, a first slidable housing (50) enabling the intermediate rail (30) to be slidable on the fixed guide (20) and a second slidable housing (50?) enabling the pull-out guide (40) to be in turn slidable on the intermediate rail (30). Each of the fixed guide (20), intermediate rail (30) and pull-out guide (40) have stops (60) disposed thereon for limiting the sliding movement of the first (50) and second slidable housings (50?), wherein a resiliently deformable damping member (52, 52?) is located in a respective chamber (51) provided at each longitudinal end of the first and second slidable housings.

Abstract: A fluid damper for use in applications such as furniture is provided. The fluid damper includes a cylinder (10) having an open end (13) and a closed end (14) with a piston disposed within the cylinder. The piston has a piston rod (2) for moving the piston between the open and closed end of the cylinder with the piston rod extending out of the cylinder open end through a seal (4). A guide bushing (100, 200) having a central hollow shaft (110, 210) for guiding the piston rod is disposed within the cylinder. The guide bushing allows damping fluid to flow in the space (17) between the central shaft and cylinder wall.

Abstract: An arrangement for stabilizing the in and out movement of a double walled drawer with a guidance during its movement. Runner systems (110a) are fixed on both sides of the drawer, to precisely control the movement of the drawer as well as supporting it. The stabilizing assembly is mounted on the support bracket (60) of the drawer, specially configured to provide a stabilizing effect.

Abstract: A drawer fitting for fixing a drawer side to a drawer front panel is disclosed. The fitting includes a holding plate for mounting the fitting to the drawer front panel, the holding plate having a flange extending in a direction parallel to a drawer side, the flange having forwardly-disposed guide noses, a clamping plate having a forwardly-disposed angled flange, a guide clip mountable on the clamping plate such that the drawer side front end can be positioned between the holding plate flange and the guide clip, the guide clip having resiliently depressible projecting tails and an assembly screw that passes through and couples together the clamping plate and guide clip, and is received in an aperture in said holding plate flange through a recess in the front end of the drawer side.

Abstract: A drawer assembly including a drawer and a sliding guide rail system for slidably opening and closing the drawer within an article of furniture is provided. A support bracket for supporting the drawer is provided at each side of the drawer. The sliding guide rail system includes a pull-out rail disposed within each of the support brackets. One of the support brackets has a slot and the pull-out rail disposed within one of the brackets has a recess. A stabilizer arrangement for stabilizing the sliding movement of the drawer is also provided. The stabilizer arrangement includes a guide bracket and a lever. The guide bracket has a protrusion engageable within the support bracket slot. The guide bracket has a resilient grip portion that allows for the guide bracket protrusion to be adjustable laterally within the support bracket slot when the guide bracket is locked onto the support bracket.

Abstract: A corner fitting for securing a drawer side to a drawer rear panel in a drawer assembly. The fitting comprises a substantially L-shaped bracket having a first flange and a second flange. A hollow support structure connects the first and second flanges and provides internal support surfaces for engagement by a component of the drawer assembly. A slot is defined by a gap between opposing surfaces of one of the flanges and one of the support surfaces. The support structure includes a resilient locking flap biased so as to protrude into the slot to lock the component of the drawer assembly and a tab extending from the flap into the hollow support structure with the tab accessible externally of the drawer assembly to permit retraction of the flap from the slot.

Abstract: A drawer guide rail for a stabilized and guided in and out movement of a drawer with respect to the furniture member, having at least one surface of the pull out channel mounted on the bottom surface of the drawer, and a fixed guide (20) adapted to be fastened on either side or both sides of the inner sidewalls of the respective furniture member. The guide rail assembly includes an outer pull out channel (50), intermediate pull out channel (30) and roller units (15, 25) for allowing the relative movement of the pull out channels. The essential part of the present invention is an additional stabilizer means (10), in the form of a metal plate adapted to provide a running surface and is disposed between two roller units (15, 25) accordingly, to facilitate absorbance of vertical forces and stabilized drawer motion.

Abstract: A guide rail assembly is provided with a sliding movement synchronizing member. The assembly includes a fixed guide mounted on a support part, an intermediate rail slidable relative to the fixed guide and an outer pull out channel slidable on the intermediate rail. A rail protrusion is provided on either the fixed guide upper surface or the pull out channel bottom surface. The synchronizing member pivotally mounted on the intermediate rail includes first and second arms that extend in opposing directions from a central portion that contains the pivot point. Each of the arms has a roller that enables the member to travel along either the pull out channel bottom surface or the fixed guide upper surface. Its central portion interacts with the rail protrusion so as to interchangeably lock the intermediate rail with the pull out channel and with the fixed guide, during opening or closing of the assembly.

Abstract: The invention is a fluidic damper which comprises a closed cylinder (100) containing a valve mechanism. The valve mechanism is attached to a piston rod (110), a portion of which (the piston rod) emerges through an opening in one end wall of the cylinder (100). The valve mechanism (90) comprises a disc (10) with an axle (15), a rotatable annular cover piece (20) and an annular turning piece (40). A spring (30) is disposed between the cover piece (20) and the turning piece (40).

The assembly comprises a mounting bracket (10) for fixing the assembly to the enclosure, a fixed rail (20) on the mounting bracket for receiving an intermediate rail (30), an intermediate rail capable of sliding back and forth relative to the fixed rail, an outer pull out guide (40) for attachment to the drawer and being capable of sliding back and forth on the intermediate rail relative to the intermediate rail and the fixed rail, a protrusion (43) on the bottom surface of the outer pull out guide, a damping device (80) and a channel guide (60) disposed along the mounting bracket adjacent the fixed rail. The damping device is resiliently compressible in a lengthwise direction and the channel guide is provided with a sliding member (70).

Abstract: A drawer assembly comprising a front panel, a rear panel, a bottom panel, two side panels and two side rails is disclosed. Each side panel extends between the front and rear panels at a respective side of the drawer assembly and has an associated one of the side rails vertically spaced from that side panel. A rear end of the side rail is connected to the rear panel by means of a clip having a locking formation, the clip being provided on one of the side rail and the rear panel, and a complementary locking formation provided on the other of the side rail and the rear panel. The portion of the other of the side rail or rear panel that has the complementary locking formation is insertable into the clip to bring the locking formation and complementary locking formation into an interlocked condition.

Abstract: A lock fitting arrangement for a knock down drawer for removably fastening the front panel of the drawer to side of the panels is presented. The lock fitting is made up of a holding plate having a mounting member and a fitting member. The mounting and fitting members are orthogonal to each other. A locking assembly with a housing and a spring-loaded lock is held in its unlocked position via a tapered step against a shoulder by a biasing spring, and a lever pivotably mounted within the housing to urge the lock for engaging the tapered step with the shoulder when desired. A locking projection is mounted on a second wall and cooperates with the lock to which it is removably attached to the first wall.

Abstract: An improved mounting device to secure a front panel in perpendicular relationship onto a side panel comprises of a mounting bracket (18) secured to the front panel (12) and a receiving bracket (20) assembly secured to the side panel (14) said front and side panel (12,14) forming part of a furniture. The improvements further includes the mounting bracket (18) with a nose edge (32) removeably secured onto the receiving bracket assembly (20), the receiving bracket assembly (20) comprises of a holding block (60) to receive in registration the nose edge (32), a slider (70) to securely hold the mounting bracket (18) and to allow linear movement of the mounting bracket (18) within the receiving bracket (20), a rotatably mounted actuator plate (80), a biased means pivotally mounted to tension the actuator plate (80) and wherein by adjusting the actuator plate (80) and an eccentric cam mechanism means (110) the front panel (12) can be adjusted in two perpendicular axes in relation to the side panels (14).

Abstract: An improved closing device for opening and closing a slidable drawer is presented. The device entails an elongate hollow cylindrical housing having an axial slot extending from one end over at least a part of the body and second axial slot being ‘L’ shaped where the leg of the L is adjacent and substantially parallel to first slot. A cylindrical member is slidable in the body with the projection extending from the member inserted into a second slot. The cylindrical piece with angled groove is able to receive a pin attached to the guide rail of the drawer so that when the draw is opened the pin pulls the cylindrical piece along the first slot towards the angled section. The cylindrical piece rotates and locks due to the extension on second slot. Furthermore, when the drawer is closed the pin on the guide rail, when pushed in, engages with the first slot that rotates the cylindrical piece thus releasing the extension and the spring pulls the drawer to a closed position.
