    Abstract: A sliding guide rail system for slidably opening and closing a drawer within an article of furniture or other equipment, the system comprises a mounting bracket (10) for fixing the system to the article of furniture, a fixed guide (20) mounted on the mounting bracket, an intermediate rail (30) and a pull-out guide (40). The fixed (20) and pull-out guides (40) each have a slidably movable housing, a first slidable housing (50) enabling the intermediate rail (30) to be slidable on the fixed guide (20) and a second slidable housing (50?) enabling the pull-out guide (40) to be in turn slidable on the intermediate rail (30). Each of the fixed guide (20), intermediate rail (30) and pull-out guide (40) have stops (60) disposed thereon for limiting the sliding movement of the first (50) and second slidable housings (50?), wherein a resiliently deformable damping member (52, 52?) is located in a respective chamber (51) provided at each longitudinal end of the first and second slidable housings.

One of the support brackets has a slot and the pull-out rail disposed within one of the brackets has a recess. A stabilizer arrangement for stabilizing the sliding movement of the drawer is also provided. The stabilizer arrangement includes a guide bracket and a lever. The guide bracket has a protrusion engageable within the support bracket slot. The guide bracket has a resilient grip portion that allows for the guide bracket protrusion to be adjustable laterally within the support bracket slot when the guide bracket is locked onto the support bracket.

    Abstract: A corner fitting for securing a drawer side to a drawer rear panel in a drawer assembly. The fitting comprises a substantially L-shaped bracket having a first flange and a second flange. A hollow support structure connects the first and second flanges and provides internal support surfaces for engagement by a component of the drawer assembly. A slot is defined by a gap between opposing surfaces of one of the flanges and one of the support surfaces. The support structure includes a resilient locking flap biased so as to protrude into the slot to lock the component of the drawer assembly and a tab extending from the flap into the hollow support structure with the tab accessible externally of the drawer assembly to permit retraction of the flap from the slot.

    Abstract: A guide rail assembly is provided with a sliding movement synchronizing member. The assembly includes a fixed guide mounted on a support part, an intermediate rail slidable relative to the fixed guide and an outer pull out channel slidable on the intermediate rail. A rail protrusion is provided on either the fixed guide upper surface or the pull out channel bottom surface. The synchronizing member pivotally mounted on the intermediate rail includes first and second arms that extend in opposing directions from a central portion that contains the pivot point. Each of the arms has a roller that enables the member to travel along either the pull out channel bottom surface or the fixed guide upper surface. Its central portion interacts with the rail protrusion so as to interchangeably lock the intermediate rail with the pull out channel and with the fixed guide, during opening or closing of the assembly.

    Abstract: An improved closing device for opening and closing a slidable drawer is presented. The device entails an elongate hollow cylindrical housing having an axial slot extending from one end over at least a part of the body and second axial slot being ā€˜Lā€™ shaped where the leg of the L is adjacent and substantially parallel to first slot. A cylindrical member is slidable in the body with the projection extending from the member inserted into a second slot. The cylindrical piece with angled groove is able to receive a pin attached to the guide rail of the drawer so that when the draw is opened the pin pulls the cylindrical piece along the first slot towards the angled section. The cylindrical piece rotates and locks due to the extension on second slot. Furthermore, when the drawer is closed the pin on the guide rail, when pushed in, engages with the first slot that rotates the cylindrical piece thus releasing the extension and the spring pulls the drawer to a closed position.
