Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for sidelink operations in unlicensed spectrum. In some embodiments, the method includes: receiving, by a first User Equipment (UE), a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) transmission; refraining from sending an acknowledgment/negative acknowledgment (ACK/NACK) transmission, by the first UE, during a first Physical Sidelink Feedback Channel (PSFCH) occasion, wherein the refraining from sending occurs in response to an unsuccessful Listen Before Talk (LBT) attempt performed for the first PSFCH occasion; and sending an ACK/NACK transmission for the PSSCH transmission, during a second PSFCH occasion following the first PSFCH occasion.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and processor-readable media for elastic allocation of resources for deep learning jobs are described. A machine-learning-as-a-service (MLaaS) of a cloud computing system includes an elastic training module which includes resource allocator for allocating resources to training jobs that optimizes overall estimated time to completion (ETC) for all training jobs received by the system and uses node-based resource allocation. The elastic training module may realize a combination of high resource utilization, short training times, and low queueing delay relative to existing approaches, thereby potentially enabling the realization of higher profits for a cloud computing system which provides MLaaS to users (i.e. customers). An improved user interface is described, enabling users to specify a range of resources to elastically allocate to the user's training job, and/or informing users of training time saved through the use of elastic resource allocation.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) apparatus for wireless communication with a base station is provided. The UE includes a transceiver and a processor. The technique may also include identifying nodes of a knowledge graph corresponding to entity references of the first entity type and entity references of the second entity type. Abstract: A user profile picture generation method and an electronic device includes in a process in which a user searches for a profile picture in a plurality of thumbnails displayed in a user interface, when the user selects a thumbnail, the electronic device displays an original picture corresponding to the thumbnail, and displays a crop box in the original picture, where the selection may be a tap operation on the thumbnail. The electronic device may generate a profile picture of the user based on the crop box. The crop box includes a human face region in the original picture, and a composition manner of the human face region in the crop box is the same as a composition manner of the human face region in the original picture.

Abstract: A system and method for providing early indication by a reduced capability New Radio (NR) User Equipment (UE). In some embodiments the reduced capability UE informs the network, by its use of a combination of preamble, Random Access Channel Occasion (RO), and initial bandwidth part (BWP), that it is a reduced capability UE. In some embodiments, the reduced capability UE transmits payload data in a Message A message. In some embodiments, the reduced capability UE receives, from the network, a set of candidate uplink resources, and transmits a Message 3 message within a subset of the set of candidate uplink resources.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for beam pairing. In some embodiments, the method includes: accessing, by a first User Equipment (UE), configuration data indicating a slot structure including a plurality of resources for transmissions in different directions; and based on the configuration data, transmitting, by the first UE, in a single slot, a first transmission portion using a first resource of the plurality of resources with a first beam direction and a second transmission portion using a second resource of the plurality of resources with a second beam direction, different from the first beam direction.

Embodiments include determining, by an NR user equipment (UE), a multi-slot reservation configuration, wherein the multi-slot reservation configuration comprises a plurality of reservation slots corresponding to a time domain and frequency domain; performing, by the NR UE, a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation; and in response to LBT operation, indicating, by the NR UE, a selection of a plurality of multi-slot resources in the time domain and the frequency domain on which to transmit one or more signals, the plurality of multi-slot resources corresponding to the plurality of reservation slots of the multi-slot reservation configuration.
