    Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for a telephony server to provide services based upon a call from a user. A user communicates with the telephony server over a telephone communication device. The telephony server retrieves a voice application over a computer network from a remote web site and uses it to have a speech-based conversation with the user. The conversation results in obtaining service data from the user. The retrieved voice application performs the requested service based upon the user-provided service data. After the requested service is performed, the voice application and the user service data are removed from the telephony server.

    Abstract: A motor control circuit for controlling rotation of a motor includes parallel first and second controller paths (gears). Each path includes a proportional and integral (PI) controller and a digital to analog converter (DAC). The DACs operate over different dynamic ranges (gains). The respective PI controllers have different control parameters to provide a common frequency response. The first controller path is used to output motor control signals to control the application of drive current to the motor. The circuit switches to the second controller path once the first controller path operates within a selected tolerance of a minimum or maximum level of the first dynamic range. The final state of the first PI controller is used to configure the initial state of the second PI controller to eliminate transients. The use of different gears allows the circuit to adaptively accommodate large variations in motor current and spindle motor configurations.

    Abstract: An adjustable wrappage film feeding device includes a chassis having end plates rotatably supporting a driving shaft therebetween. The driving shaft is driven by a motor via a worm—worm gear transmission. Two first bevel gears are mounted on the driving shaft to be rotatable in unison with the driving shaft while being allowed to axially move with respect to the driving shaft. A screw rod is rotatably supported by the end plates and threadingly engages two movable carriages that are spaced from each other a distance. By rotating the screw rod, the carriages are driven toward/away from each other and thus changing the distance therebetween. Each carriage rotatably carries a roller adapted to drivingly engage and convey a film in a predetermined direction toward an article to be packaged. Each roller is coupled to a corresponding one of the first bevel gears by a second bevel gear that mates the corresponding first bevel gear.

    Abstract: A cutting device is incorporated in a packaging machine having at least one expansion cylinder consisting of upper and lower sections with a gap therebetween. The cutting device includes a rotation ring concentrically surrounding and spaced from the expansion ring. The rotation ring is coupled to a driving system for concentric rotation with respect to the expansion cylinder. A number of cutting members are pivoted to the ring. Each cutting member includes a cutting blade and a weight on opposite sides of the pivot thereof. A spring is connected between the weight and the rotation ring for biasing the cutting blade to a stowed position where a sharp edge of the cutting blade is spaced from the gap. When the rotation ring is rotated at a high speed, a centrifugal force acts upon each weight thereby moving the cutting member against the spring toward a cutting position where the sharp edge of the cutting blade partially extends into the gap for cutting off a packaging material fit over the expansion cylinder.

    Abstract: A waveform scan system produces two pairs of special waves with special waveforms that are led to front and rear layers of an electrically-conducting media which contains three overlaid layers. In there they form special stationary waveforms which contains a vertical and a horizontal maximum peak lines. These two peak line cross in space and their perpendicular line present a maximum peak point. Under a control unit, this maximum peak point will scan whole screen media and synchronize with incoming signals. The middle layer connect to the signals processor that allows signals to be converted or be reproduced therein. Thereby the time domain serial signals can be reproduced in different locations in the space domain. Vice versa, the space domain signals can be convert or record in a time domain media.

    Abstract: A non-physical movement component recording and reproducing device produces a pair of special waves with special waveforms that form a special stationary waveform. An electrically-conducting media contains three overlaid layers, a first layer contains the special stationary waveform, a middle layer allows signals to be recorded or be reproduced therein, and a third layer allows the signals to be connected. Two diodes are connected in reverse polarity to the third layer wherein one diode is used for recording and reproducing signals, while the other diode is used for erasing unused signals during the recording process. The bias voltage of the diodes is bigger than the peak value of the special waveform, but less than the maximum peak value of the special stationary waveform. The control unit changes at least one of the intermittence length and the phase of the special waves.
