    Abstract: A method for rendering a light field comprises projecting rays from a viewpoint positioned at a first side of a spatial light modulator (SLM) to a clipping plane positioned at an opposing side of the SLM to form an elemental view frustum within a three-dimensional scene and rendering objects within the elemental view frustum to generate components of a first elemental image for the first elemental region. The SLM may include a tiled array of non-overlapping elemental regions and a top edge and a bottom edge of a first elemental region of the non-overlapping elemental regions are intersected by the rays to form the elemental view frustum. Furthermore, the light field may include the first elemental image and additional elemental images corresponding to the array of elemental regions and each one of the additional elemental images is rendered using an additional elemental view frustum.

    Abstract: An electronic device is for identifying a LED driver which is a switched mode power supply. For example the LED driver is part of an LED luminaire. An interface (24) is adapted to be coupled to a high frequency power commutation component of the switched mode power supply, for sensing the high frequency power commutation of the switched mode power supply in driving the LED. A mapping is made between identifications of LED drivers which are switched mode power supply and characteristics of the high frequency power commutations in driving the LED of a respective switched mode power supply. Thus, a LED driver which uses a switched mode power supply can be identified corresponding to extracted characteristics of the high frequency power commutations in driving the LED. This identification can be used for energy monitoring and fault diagnosis purposes, for use in a universal low cost LED driver.

    Abstract: A flash memory controller refreshes memory blocks in a flash memory device by setting different refresh cycles for individual memory blocks in the flash memory device. The flash memory controller records a number of erase operations performed on each memory block of the flash memory device. Upon detecting that a bit error rate of a memory block is greater than a preset threshold, the flash memory controller determines a refresh cycle for the memory block based on recorded number of erase operations performed on the memory block, and then refreshes the memory block according to the refresh cycle.

    Abstract: A keyword extraction method includes: extracting candidate words from an original document to form a first word set; acquiring the first correlation degree between each candidate word in the first word set and the original document, and based on which determining a second word set; generating predicted words forming a third word set through a prediction model; determining a union set of the second and third word sets, acquiring the second correlation degree between each of the candidate keywords in the union set and the original document, acquiring a divergence of each candidate keyword in the union set; and selecting candidate keywords from the union set as keywords based on the second correlation degree and the divergence. Keyword redundancy can be avoided through the divergence of keywords. The final keywords are not affected by the frequency of candidate words, and the expression mode of keywords can be enriched.

    Abstract: The invention provides an antenna structure comprising a plurality of wire segments formed in a loop. Connecting units are provided between the wire segments, each of which is switchable between a conductive state and a reactive state. With the connecting units in the conductive state a loop antenna is formed with a first (longer) signal range and with the connecting units in the reactive state an antenna structure is formed with a second (shorter) signal range. Said reactive state is adapted to introduce a phase delay between the adjacent wire segments. This enables the same antenna to be used for long range signal communication and short range communication, for example for system configuration or commissioning.     Abstract: A coded light transmission and reception circuit and transmission and reception method use signals to indicate the start and end of a coded light transmission window. Data is modulated onto the current waveform during the transmission window. Each data peak value during said transmission window exceeds an average current in the transmission window (which is used as the decision level) and each valley value during said transmission window is below the average current. In this way, a coded light output can be generated in which the overall decision current varies significantly, but the coded light signal can still be decoded reliably. The average level can be calculated in the receiver and used for demodulating.
