An example bypass connector module includes module housing, a first wafer comprising a first terminal set, a second wafer comprising a second terminal set, and a tail alignment structure. The first wafer comprises an open body section for connections between the first terminal set and at least one cable. In one implementation, the first wafer includes a first terminal set and a central peg. The second wafer includes a second terminal set, a central peg hole formed in a top surface of the second wafer, and underside pegs extending from a bottom surface of the second wafer. The tail alignment structure includes peg slots positioned to receive the underside pegs of the second wafer.

  • Publication number: 20250385455
Abstract: Aspects of drop down contacts in connectors are described. An example connector includes a housing with a front port opening, a wafer assembly including terminal rows, a push bar, and a biasing component. The push bar is positioned in the housing and extends between the terminal rows. The biasing component pushes the push bar toward the front port opening of the housing and into contact with the rows of terminal conductors. The push bar maintains a minimal distance or clearance between opposing contact tips of the rows of terminal conductors even when no paddle card is inserted into the connector. When a paddle card is inserted into the front port opening, the paddle card pushes the push bar out of contact with the terminal conductors, so that the terminal conductors drop down upon contact surfaces of the paddle card.

  • Publication number: 20240283174
Abstract: Various aspects of reworkable press-fit legs are described. In one example, a press-fit leg includes a flat beam extension region, a bent beam region, and a head region. Extending along a longitudinal axis of the leg, the bent beam region of the leg is positioned between the flat beam extension region and the head region of the leg. The bent beam region curves apart and away from the longitudinal axis of the leg, along a segment of a circle. The bent beam region and bent beams are compressible and can extend in length to some extent when inserted into mounting apertures. When removed from the mounting apertures, the bent beam regions also bend back to their original shapes, which facilitates rework of cages and other housings including the legs.

  • Patent number: 12027803
Abstract: A cage includes a cage housing forming an inner area with internal walls that define an upper port and a lower port. Each of the ports include a cap that forms a keyway. The cap in an upper bay can extend from the upper bay in a direction that is opposite a direction the cap in the lower port extends. The cage may include a plurality of spring fingers therein which engage with a conductive bezel. The cage provides EMI shielding for the plug connector.

  • Publication number: 20240113473
Abstract: Alignment structures are included in high-speed data cage assemblies to prevent damage to one or more electronic components connected within the cage assembly and prevent misalignment of connected components. The alignment structures extend inwardly into a port and prevent movement of a module beyond the intended position of the module in a port. This allows connection between the module and a connector and prevents misalignment of the module. Damage to either the module or the connector by misalignment or by over-insertion of the module is prevented.

  • Patent number: 11802992
Abstract: The present invention belongs to the field of nowcasting early-warning technology, and discloses a thunderstorm gale early-warning method, system, equipment and terminal. The thunderstorm gale early-warning method comprises: preprocessing single radar data to identify potential thunderstorm gale areas; and in real-time service, calling the thunderstorm gale parameter model in the potential thunderstorm gale areas identified by single radar every time to perform extrapolation for 1 hour, thereby forming a thunderstorm gale early-warning product within the next hour. The thunderstorm gale early-warning method provided by the present invention makes full use of the identification technology of dual polarization radar to identify the potential of thunderstorm gale, acquires falling areas of potential thunderstorm gale within the next hour by the extrapolation technology, and has better advance and accuracy compared with the existing thunderstorm gale early-warning method.

  • Patent number: 10815627
Abstract: A method for improving the seismic performance of bridges by utilizing the beam body and an energy dissipation and seismic mitigation bridge bearing, which can effectively eliminate the harmful vibration of the bridge pier in the inherent frequency band, thus reducing the stress of the pier body and improving the seismic performance of the bridge pier without introducing external additional mass and looking for an installation space on the pier. The method includes the following steps: obtain the natural frequency fi, the equivalent modal mass Mi and the modal stiffness Ki of the pier in the longitudinal or transverse direction by numerical modal analysis or experimental modal test; determine the mass mi of the beam body; calculate the connection stiffness ki and the connection damping ci between the beam body and the pier; select the bearing system with above connection stiffness ki and the connection damping ci.
