    Abstract: The invention provides a lamp (5) comprising a lamp body (6) and a mounting unit (8), for fitting through an opening in a substrate. The mounting unit has a front ring (10) for mounting against a front side of the substrate and an arrangement of lugs (12), sliders (20) and brackets (30). The brackets have a collapsed position in which the brackets fit through the opening; and an expanded locked position in which the brackets do not fit through the opening and the brackets are positioned for engaging with a back side of the substrate. The brackets are driven into their positions by a pushing/pulling arrangement rather than by using sprung arrangements. This enables damage to the substrate to be prevented.

A computing device may be configured to determine an optimal irrigation schedule for a crop planted in a field by applying reinforcement learning (RL), where, for a given state of a total soil moisture, the computing device performs an action, the action comprising waiting or irrigating crop. An immediate reward may be assigned to a state-action pair, the state-action pair comprising the given state of the total soil moisture and the action performed. The computing device may instruct an irrigation system to apply irrigation to at least one crop in accordance with the optimal irrigation schedule determined, where the optimal irrigation schedule includes an amount of water to be applied at a predetermined time.

    Abstract: In order to provide confidentiality protection, an encryption method, a decryption method, and related apparatuses are provided. An encryption device generates a first initial layer-3 message. The first initial layer-3 message includes a first part and a second part. The device generates a keystream for encrypting the first initial layer-3 message. The device performs an exclusive OR operation on the keystream and the first initial layer-3 message to generate a second initial layer-3 message. The second initial layer-3 message includes an encrypted first part of the first initial layer-3 message, an unencrypted second part of the first initial layer-3 message, and an encryption indication indicating that the first part of the first initial layer-3 message is encrypted. The device transmits the second initial layer-3 message to a network device. Small data comprised in the second initial layer-3 message is protected by the encryption.

    Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for generating and utilizing improved initialization vectors (IVs) when performing encryption and authentication in wireless communications. In some scenarios, a wireless communication device may generate one or more pseudorandom multi-bit values, e.g., using a respective plurality of key derivation functions (KDFs). A first portion of each value may be used as a respective key for encryption or authentication of traffic on the user plane or the control plane. A second portion of each value may be used as a nonce value in a respective IV for use with a respective key for encryption or authentication of traffic on the user plane or the control plane. In some scenarios, the nonce values may instead be generated as part of an additional pseudorandom value (e.g., by executing an additional KDF), from which all of the IVs may be drawn.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a planar electroluminescence (EL) device comprising a substrate layer, an electrode layer, a light emitting layer, and a modulating layer, wherein the electrode layer comprises a plurality of electrodes arranged on a same level over the substrate layer, and there is no contact between adjacent electrodes. In one embodiment, the device further comprises a hole injection layer (HIL), a hole transport layer (HTL), an electron injection layer (EIL) and an electrode transport layer (ETL). In one embodiment, the light emitting layer comprises organic light emitting polymers or organic light emitting molecules. The device of the present invention would emit light when liquid, polar component, or conductive solution is written directly on the light emitting layer. In one embodiment, the device can emit light for prolonged period when the light emitting layer is coated or deposited with conductive material.

The method includes: using sol-gel method, hydrolyzing terminal group-containing silane coupling agent to form functional terminal group-containing silica sol, cross-linked with organic polymer to form composite sol as material of dielectric of organic thin film transistor; forming film by solution method such as spin coating, dip coating, inkjet printing, 3D printing, etc., forming dielectric after curing; preparing semiconductor and electrode respectively to prepare organic thin film transistor device, which, based on composite dielectric material, has mobility of 5 cm2/V·s, exceeding that of using SiO2, having low threshold voltage and no hysteresis effect. Compared with traditional processes like SiO2 thermal oxidation, above method has advantages of simple process, low cost, suitable for large-area preparation, with great market application value.
