  • Publication number: 20110058603
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of inverse transform and sub-sampling having low computational complexity, wherein, a complicated inverse transform process is simplified, meanwhile, a sub-sampling is performed, in particular said simplified process is provided with a compensation scheme, and that is utilized to solve a distortion problem as incurred by said simplified process. This method can be utilized in a video or image codec, for an inverse transform and a sub-sampling from a frequency domain to a spatial domain, thus reducing computational complexity of a frame-size reduction transform, and increasing decoding speed. Said method is applicable in equal and unequal reduction ratios of a frame length and width.

  • Patent number: 7900323
Abstract: A lamp has multiple arms and multiple hinges mounted between two adjacent arms. The hinge has a stationary leaf, multiple pivot assemblies being mounted in the stationary leaf and multiple brackets being respectively connected to the pivot assemblies and two corresponding brackets are attached to each arm. Each pivot assembly has a shaft and a locking nut being mounted on the shaft and selectively engaging a locking hole of each bracket. Since the locking nuts selectively engage the locking holes of the brackets, an angle between the adjacent arms can be adjusted and fixed. Further, two adjacent arms do not influence each other's position, which is convenient for adjusting.

  • Patent number: 7904359
Abstract: Providing accounting services for a communication device includes receiving at a support node a context request to create a communication context for the communication device. An accounting request is sent to an accounting server, where the accounting request initiates accounting for the communication device. The support node waits for an accounting response from the accounting server, where the accounting response indicates that the accounting server is operational. The communication context is created for the communication device only if the accounting response is received from the accounting server.

  • Patent number: 7902266
Abstract: A composition of an anti-glare coating has a resin, multiple particles and a dispersant. The resin is selected from the group consisting of thermosetting resin and light-curing resin. The particles have a dimension that is from about 30 nanometers (nm) to about 10 micrometers (?m). Because the dispersant stabilizes and keeps a separation distance between each two particles, the particles cannot aggregate in or precipitate out of the anti-glare coating. Thus, the anti-glare coating can be coated easily on the substrate and a surface of the anti-glare film is uniform to provide an improved anti-glare effect. Moreover, the dispersant allows adjustment of haze, gloss and distinctness of image of a substrate coated with the anti-glare coating.

  • Patent number: 7904062
Abstract: A mobile device, system, and method are directed towards displaying an advertisement within a navigable view on a mobile device. In one embodiment, the navigable view employs a scrollable list. In one embodiment, a capability of the mobile device is employed to determine the mechanism for displaying of the advertisement within the navigable view. In one embodiment, the display mechanism may enable the advertisement to disappear from the mobile device's display after scrolling past the advertisement. In another embodiment, the advertisement is treated as a fixed entry within the scrollable view. As a fixed entry, scrolling past the advertisement results in the advertisement disappearing from the display of the mobile device. In still another embodiment, the advertisement is treated as a continually viewable entry within the navigable view, and in another embodiment, the advertisement may bounce to a top or a bottom of the navigable view as it is scrolled.
