    Abstract: A novel method and system for conducting wide-field multi-photon microscopy through plane-projection are provided. It has been discovered that the limitations of conventional temporal-focusing techniques, such as single excitation wavelength and low acquisition rates can be resolved utilizing a novel optical set-up in which an optical diffuser is used as the scatterer. The use of such an optical arrangement enables temporal focusing regardless of the central wavelength of laser pulses. In addition, the optical sectioning possible using the disclosed microscopy is comparable to confocal microscopy, and can be robustly achieved by both moderate and high NA objectives at 100-fs pulse width. Moreover, the multi-photon excitation efficiency of the disclosed system can be enhanced by lowering the repetition rate of the ultrafast laser light source at constant pulse width and average power.

    Abstract: The present invention provides EV71 virus-like particles and a preparation method and application thereof. The method comprises: connecting a P1 protein gene and a 3CD protease gene of an EV71 virus with a PMV plasmid to construct a PMV-P1-3CD recombinant expression plasmid; then transforming a Hansenula polymorpha AU-0501 expression strain with the PMV-P1-3CD recombinant expression plasmid to obtain an AU-PMV-P1-3CD recombinant expression strain; fermenting and culturing the recombinant expression strain, and inducing the recombinant expression strain to express the EV71 virus-like particle protein with methanol; centrifuging and collecting mycelia for homogeneous breakage at a high pressure; and purifying the supernatant through ion-exchange chromatography, hydrophobic chromatography, and molecular sieve chromatography, so as to obtain EV71 virus-like particles.

With a controller (17) and a pH sensor (16), a measured pH value will be transmitted by the pH sensor (16) to the controller (17) in real time. The controller (17) controls an action of a driving mechanism via a control module II (21), to drive a piston rod to add NaOH solution into a container tank (6). When the pH value of the solution falls in a predetermined range, the driving mechanism is stopped, to precisely control the pH value of the solution.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-storage media for improving the freshness, or the apparent freshness, of search results are described. In an embodiment, the first portion of search results presented on a search results page are based on responsiveness to the search query and a second portion of results describe only recently published documents that are responsive to the search query. In an embodiment, a more recent version of the document, which is not directly used to determine responsiveness, is used to build the caption for a search result. Another way to make search results appear fresh is to include a publication time within the search result caption. In one embodiment, the publication time is generated by calculating a point in time between when a document is first added to a search index and the previous time the search engine visited the site where the document was found.

    Abstract: A system employing vector signal generator (VSG) and vector signal analyzer (VSA) modules or cards that are configured to test multiple devices under test simultaneously. Each VSG is configured to generate multiple RF test signals and send them to multiple devices under test simultaneously. Similarly, each VSA is configured with multiple signal receiving modules connected to a single controller or memory. Each signal receiving module receives an RF signal from a device under test, converts it to a baseband digital signal, and transmits this digital signal to the VSA's memory. A single RF testing system can employ multiple such VSGs and VSAs, each capable of evaluating multiple devices under test. Each VSG/VSA can further be tuned for operation in discrete or defined frequency bands, which are narrower than those for conventional RF testers, and which can correspond to various wireless standards.

The method for extracting and separating the rare-earth element provides good interfacial phenomena in the extraction process, does not generate emulsification, obviates the need for extractant saponification, and provides increased separation factor for rare-earth elements, and particularly increased separation factor for heavy rare-earth elements.
