  • Publication number: 20170069086
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for constructing brain templates. First, thousands of brain MRI images are collected. Then, the collected brain MRI images are preprocessed and normalized to construct brain templates. Further, the constructed brain templates include brain templates corresponding to different age and gender groups and brain tissue probability maps corresponding to different age and gender groups. Therefore, embodiments of the present disclosure can construct brain templates by using the large sample size of brain MRI data, and support clinical applications and brain researches.

  • Publication number: 20110137612
Abstract: A method and a system for estimating a longitudinal relaxation time in magnetic resonance imaging. The method includes scanning at least one object to form a sequence of data with a plurality of flip angles; regressing linearly the formed sequence of data based on a first signal intensity model associated with the flip angles to obtain an initial estimation for said longitudinal relaxation time; and regressing nonlinearly the formed sequence of data based on a second signal intensity model associated with the flip angles so as to obtain a final estimation for the longitudinal relaxation time, in which the initial estimation is used as an initial guess for the longitudinal relaxation time based on the second signal intensity model.

  • Publication number: 20100191881
Abstract: A method for reserving and provisioning IT resources comprises receiving, from a user, a request to reserve a desired configuration of IT resources. The desired configuration comprises one or more desired technical specifications and a desired reservation time having a start time and an end time. The method further comprises accessing an IT resource database to determine one or more of a plurality of resource pools that the user has access to. The one or more resource pools are consulted to determine if one or more IT resources matching the desired configuration are available. If the one or more IT resources matching the desired configuration are available, the one or more IT resources are reserved for the user and provided to the user at the start time.

  • Patent number: 7616559
Abstract: A communications system provides for secure communications of information over multiple communications links. The system includes a client device, a server device, and at least one, and typically multiple, available and usable communications channels, elements, modes and links for connecting the devices for communications of information therebetween. The system includes a link detector for determining existence and usability of the communications links for communications of the information, a pathfinder for selecting one or more of the communications links for communications of at least some of the information, a link handover for switching to the selected one or more communications links for communications of the information or portion thereof, and an auto reconnector for re-connecting to detected and selected one or more communications links for communications of the information or portions of it in the event that any communication is hindered, terminated or upset.

  • Patent number: 7315544
Abstract: A communication provider which provides wireless access to a packetized data network, such as the Internet. The provider includes a server computer. The server computer is connected to the network, which is at least in part a wired network. A client device is also connected to the network, including by wireless means. The wired network is connected to a cellular wireless communications system. Payloads of information communicated by the server computer to the client device are assigned corresponding Global Sequence Numbers. By determining a time differential between next succeeding payloads received by the client, a determination is made whether any payload loss occurs on a wired portion of the network or on a wireless portion of the network. Headers of all payloads of information are compressed together and transmitted together, in order to limit communications and amount of data communicated. A send rate of the server computer is adjusted in relation to an effective receive rate of the client device.

  • Patent number: 6643649
Abstract: The present invention provides a utility for cross platform database query. In a preferred embodiment, the utility resides at an object server in a data system. The utility obtains a set of data items from a library server in the data system; places the set of data items from the library server in a temporary table at the object server; obtains each data item from the temporary table and the base object table; and converts each data item from the temporary table and the base object table, if a conversion is required, such that each data item from the temporary table and the base object table may be compared. Because the utility, the temporary table, and the base object table all reside at the same server, the utility knows whether or not to convert the data items so that a conflict free comparison is performed. In this manner, the utility need not actually know what platform is used by the library server, yet, data at the library server and the object server can be properly compared.

  • Patent number: 6360569
Abstract: A lock that can be locked from two sides thereof includes a first fixing base combined with a seat plate at one side of the door plate for receiving a securing plate and a restoring spring seat. The restoring spring seat defines a drive hole combined with a drive tube. A first drive shaft tube has one end combined with the restoring spring seat. The first drive shaft tube defines a slot such that a locking plate protrudes from and retract into the slot. A first handle is combined with the other end of the first drive shaft tube. The first handle has a lock whose lock core defines a double sector faced slot into which one end of the first lock control plate is inserted. The other side of the door plate is combined with a second fixing base and a seat plate. The second fixing base defines a shaft hole for passage of a second drive shaft tube. The second drive shaft tube receives a locking cylinder, an elastic member, a cone-shaped plate, and a connecting cylinder, and is combined with a restoring spring seat.
