  • Publication number: 20210273698
Abstract: Certain aspects provide a method for wireless communication by a first user-equipment (UE). The method generally includes applying a discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration for the first UE, monitoring for first signaling from a second UE indicating that the second UE has data to send to the first UE, the first signaling being transmitted using a plurality of transmit beams during a DRX cycle of the DRX configuration, selecting one or more transmit beams of the plurality of transmit beams based on the monitoring of the first signaling, and communicating in accordance with the selection.

  • Publication number: 20210274543
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a configured grant that indicates time-frequency resources for a user equipment (UE) to use to transmit sidelink or uplink messages in a wireless communications system. To reduce the amount of low priority traffic that may interfere with higher priority traffic, the base station may configure a threshold probability to allow high priority sidelink transmissions and to cancel low priority transmissions. The base station may transmit a cancellation indication that includes a priority indication instructing the UE to cancel transmissions having a priority less than a priority threshold during the allocated time-frequency resources. Based on transmitting the cancellation indication, the base station may cancel transmissions that have low priority, and the UE may determine whether to transmit (or to refrain from transmitting) one or more messages based on the priority of the message.

  • Publication number: 20210266772
Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to determining and/or scheduling resources for devices in view of cross-channel interference measured between the devices. In an aspect, a first user equipment (UE) can determine a signal measurement of a signal transmitted by a second UE in a first channel, determine, based at least in part on the signal measurement, a cross-channel interference parameter of interference experienced by the first UE, and transmit, to a serving base station that serves the first UE, an indication of the cross-channel interference parameter. In another aspect, a base station can determine a cross-channel interference parameter of interference experienced by a first UE in at least a first channel, based on a signal transmitted by a second UE in a second channel, and can schedule communications for the first UE based at least in part on the cross-channel interference parameter.

  • Publication number: 20210266917
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may be scheduled for communicating a first message over a first communication link with a base station and a second message over second communication link with a second UE. The first UE may select to communicate using the first communication link or the second communication link based on one or more prioritization rules that may involve the priority of the first message and the second message. The first UE may identify a mapping between the priority of the first message and the priority of the second message that may enable a comparison of the priorities of the first message and the second message. The first UE may select to communicate using the communication link of the message associated with the higher priority.

  • Publication number: 20210258942
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for training a beam for multiple component carriers (CCs) for concurrent communications in a wireless communications system associated with limited user equipment (UE) capabilities. The beam training may improve a receive or transmit beam for two or more CCs as a group that share an RF chain. The UE may receive, via a first receive beam, a first reference signal on a group of CCs over a first symbol. The UE may also receive, via a second receive beam, a second reference signal on the group of CCs over a second symbol. The UE may select a receive beam for a subsequent communication based on determining a value of a parameter for each of the first and the second receive beam.

  • Publication number: 20210212044
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for determining shared resources associated with one or more user equipments (UEs) for sidelink communications, including control resources and data resources. A first UE may determine a first set of control resources in a first frequency band corresponding to a first group of UEs including the first UE. The first UE may transmit a sidelink request to reserve a subset of data resources to a second UE in the first group of UEs. The first UE may monitor for one or more sidelink responses indicating a positive sidelink response to the sidelink request, a negative sidelink response to the sidelink request, or both. The first UE may determine, based on monitoring for the one or more sidelink responses, whether to transmit a sidelink confirmation indicating a reservation of the data resources to the second UE.

  • Publication number: 20210212043
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A set of user equipments (UEs) may communicate with each other on communication links using data resources from a pool of shared resources. The UEs may be configured to multiplex control resources with data resources of a shared resource pool. In some cases, a UE may communicate, in control resources, control signaling to reserve data resources of a shared resource pool. After transmitting the request, the UE may communicate data in one or more data resources. The UE may communicate the data using transmission components while concurrently processing control signaling using other components.

  • Publication number: 20210204252
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for selecting and indicating a quasi colocation (QCL) source signal for sidelink (SL) communications. For example, a scheduling node may select from multiple candidates a signal for a first user equipment (UE) to use as a spatial QCL source for a receive (RX) or transmit (TX) beam to use for communicating with a second UE on a SL interface. The scheduling node may then signal the first UE an indication of the selection of the signal.
