    Abstract: An exemplary method for quickly sending an email includes, firstly, generating operation signals in response to a shape drawn on a touch screen of an electronic device by a user. Next, the shape is identified, according to the received operation signals. Then one or more recipients' email addresses associated with the predefined shape are acquired when it is determined that the identified shape is similar to one of predefined shapes. Lastly, an email is sent to the acquired recipients' email addresses. An electronic device implementing the method is also provided.

    Abstract: A control apparatus capable of controlling a TV interface communicates with a TV and a remote control apparatus. The control apparatus includes a communicating unit, a storage unit, and a control unit. When the communicating unit receives a wireless signal carrying information of a selected executable program transmitted by the remote control apparatus, the control unit obtains an executable program from the storage unit according to the information carried by the wireless signal and generates a first control signal and a second control signal. The remote control apparatus provides a remote control interface corresponding to the selected executable program in response to the first control signal. The TV executes the selected executable program and provides an operation interface corresponding to the selected executable program in response to the second signal. A related method is also provided.

The picture processing unit determines a width value of the current picture and a distance between a side of the current picture and an edge of the display screen adjacent to the side. The control unit controls the picture processing unit to obtain the target picture and controls the display screen to only display the target picture if a time duration of a slide gesture from beginning to ending is equal to or greater than a predetermined time period and a ratio of the distance to the width is equal to or greater than a predetermined ratio.     Abstract: An electronic device capable of simulating page flip effect includes an input unit, a display unit, a page flip control module and a thickness control module. The input unit generates a flip-page instruction in response to a user's operation. The display unit displays an electronic document in a page flipping format which includes a currently displayed page and a margin portion adjacent to the currently displayed page, and the margin portion includes a plurality of displayed stacked margins of undisplayed pages. The margins cooperatively resemble a thickness of the undisplayed pages. The page flip control module flips the currently displayed page over in response to the flip-page instruction to display a page flipping effect on the display unit. The thickness control module adds or removes a margin displayed in the margin portion, in response to the flip-page instruction to present a variation of the thickness of the undisplayed pages accordingly.

    Abstract: A page processing method for an electronic device with a touch screen is provided. The method includes the following steps: displaying a page of content on the touch screen, the displayed page consisting of a number of regions comprising a center region and a plurality of peripheral regions surrounding the center region; detecting a touch operation on the displayed page and generating a signal associated therewith; determining the touched region where the touch operation occurs; determining whether the touch operation is a mode switching operation according to the signal; and controlling the electronic device to switch between a browsing mode and a zooming mode according to the signal and the location of the touched region on the displayed page, if the touch operation is a mode switching operation. An electronic device using the page processing method is also provided.
