  • Publication number: 20050276027
Abstract: A electronic device for shielding electromagnetic interference (EMI) including a metal shield, a printed circuit board (PCB) having a ground layer, and a number of ground pads arranged at edges of the PCB and in electrical conductivity with the ground layer. The ground pads lies close to edges of the metal shield. During solder reflowing process, solder is laid on the ground pads, and a height of the solder is adjusted to meet spaces or gaps of the shield. When the PCB is placed into the shield, the solder on the ground pads is in electrical conductivity with the metal shield to eliminate spaces or gaps thereof. So the EMI coupling which causes EMI signals interfering with sensitive components is avoided.

  • Patent number: 6939262
Abstract: A gearing switch device includes a switch assembly that is switched to one of positions to engage one of the gears in an idle gear set with an input gear and a transferring gear of a speed reduction device. The transferring gear drives a ring gear that is engaged with planetary gears device connected to one side of a disk and an output gear is connected to the other side of the disk. By the different types of engagement between the gears of the idle gear set and the transferring gear, the speed of the disk is changeable so as to have desired output torque.

  • Patent number: 6931380
Abstract: A system detects subscription fraud in connection with any consumer related service which requires continuous access and payment over time. According to one aspect, a method performed by the system includes determining a subscription fraudster or someone whom has not fulfilled previous payment obligations for access to service, at or soon after the point of service application, by comparing at least one biometric value against those on file which are associated with past payment default.

  • Publication number: 20040198961
Abstract: The present invention includes Fc&egr; fragments conjugated with FC&ggr; fragments, for example, Fc&egr;1-Hinge-FcE2-FcE3-FcE4-FCy; Hinge-FcE2-FcE3-FcE4-Fcy; FC&egr;2-Fc&egr;3-Fc&egr;4-FC&ggr;; FC&egr;2-Fc&egr;3-Fc&ggr;; FC&egr;3-Fc&ggr;; and FC&egr;3-Fc&egr;4-FC&ggr;, or any derivative or peptide, which has equivalent immunological function. The Fc&ggr; fragment may be a fragment of any of the IgG subclasses (IgG1 I IgG2, IgG3, or IgG4), preferably IgG1 or IgG3, wherein the fragment binds Fc&ggr;RIIB. The present invention also includes compositions suitable for administering to a patient suffering from an allergic disease comprising the fusion protein construct in a pharmaceutical composition including, for example, an excipient, diluant, or carrier. This treatment may be combined with anti-IgE therapy or allergen immunotherapy.

  • Publication number: 20040141477
Abstract: A method of selecting a local mobility agent (LMA) from several LMAs in a visited domain, to serve as a local home agent, for registration with a home agent in a home domain of a mobile host is disclosed. The method includes determining a mobility pattern of the mobile host within the visited domain in a given time interval and selecting a LMA from the several LMAs at the end of the time interval depending on the mobility pattern of the mobile host. The selected LMA is registered with the home agent if the selected LMA is different from a LMA currently registered with the home agent. A system, subsystem and a mobile host that perform the above-described method are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5840297
Abstract: A genus specific chlamydia vaccine is provided which comprises an anti-idiotype antibody capable of producing in an animal an anti-anti-idiotypic antibody which recognizes a glycoplipid exoantigen (GLXA) of chlamydia. The vaccine is produced by producing an idiotypic antibody to GLXA which, in turn, is utilized t produce the anti-idiotypic antibody comprising the vaccine.

  • Patent number: 5254890
Abstract: A ground bouncing reducing circuit comprises a first control means, a second control means and an output means for generating an output signal at a fourth output terminal. The first control means generates a first control signal at a first output terminal and a second control signal at a second output terminal in response to an input signal. The first control signal and the second control signal are not asserted at the same time. The second control means generates a third control signal at a third output terminal in response to the first control signal and the second control signal. The ground bouncing phenomenon is reduced when the output signal changes state.

  • Patent number: 5185769
Abstract: A high speed digital counter that can be easily tested comprises a plurality of subcounters having an input for receiving an incrementing signal and a carry output for outputting a carry signal when the subcounter has reached its counting capacity. The carry output of each subcounter is gated to the input of a next more significant subcounter by an OR gate which receives as inputs the carry signal and a test signal. The OR gate performs an OR on these two signals and outputs the result to the input of the next more significant subcounter. The OR gate allows the test signal to access each subcounter separately, and thus, each subcounter may be tested individually.

  • Patent number: 4298198
Abstract: A plurality of lights arranged in either a single column or plural columns is actuated by control circuits so that a single light at a time is first turned on and then off. This on-off action is done in succession between adjacent lights to give the appearance of a moving light or light streak. The game is operable in either of two modes, a single player mode and an opposing player mode. For opposing players, each one actuates his own control switch or switches to reverse the direction of apparent movement of lights and the object is to actuate the switches so as to reverse the direction in which the light appears to be moving before it reaches a predetermined position, e.g., an end light. If an end light is turned on, one player may score. A reset switch allows the game to continue. For a single player, the light streaks from one end towards the other end and then back and the player has to actuate a control switch before the light streaks completely back, in order to keep the light streak in motion.

  • Patent number: 4060242
Abstract: Electronic game apparatus includes a series of lights that are rapidly and repetitively illuminated in succession to simulate a rapidly moving light. A player has under his control a switch which, when actuated, stops the apparent movement on a particular light. Different packaging schemes provide a variety of ways in which the game can be played either by one or more players. A variable frequency oscillator allows the speed at which the series is illuminated to be varied or adjusted to suit a player's skill and interest and to allow the game to be played as a game of skill or of chance. Alternate embodiments allow either one light at a time to be lit or the series can be completely turned on one at a time. Additionally, the direction in which the lights are illuminated can be either unidirectional or bidirectional. The game apparatus may also include automatic score keeping facilities.
