    Abstract: This disclosure provides a method for evaluating volume responsiveness and a medical device. The medical device includes a respiratory assistance device for providing respiratory support for a patient, and a first sensor for collecting physiological parameters of the patient and a processor. When volume responsiveness evaluation is needed, the processor controls ventilation parameters to switch to a second ventilation parameter that may increase the variation of the intrathoracic pressure of the patient, and then uses a parameter variation capable of reflecting the heartbeat of the patient to evaluate whether the patient is volume responsive.

A first vector is decoded to output a third set, where the third set includes one or more bits reserved after processing the source signal and one or more locations at which a decoding error occurs in one or more bits discarded after processing the source signal.

    Abstract: This application discloses an image encoding method and apparatus, an image decoding method and apparatus, and a chip. In the encoding method, first, a run-length value sequence and a level value sequence are obtained by using a quantized sequence of an image; updated distribution probabilities of level values are obtained based on distribution probabilities of run-length values and the level values and according to a mapping rule; finally, entropy encoding is performed based on the level value sequence and the updated distribution probabilities of the level values, to output encoded image data. A decoder side only needs to additionally learn of the mapping rule to complete decoding. The method is simple to implement, and can improve image compression efficiency and effectively reduce an amount of data for representing the image.

Such embodiments provide improvements to sensors requiring such adjustments, for example by better accounting for baseline drift and/or other baseline inaccuracies of a sensor. In one example context, a gas sensor is provided that performs such dynamic iterative baseline adjustment to better calibrate the output value of the gas sensor. Some embodiments include determining a set of measured values comprises a number of low-point measured values that exceeds a baseline updating threshold, determining an updated baseline value set, for example by determining an average low-point measured value for each baseline factor interval of a set of baseline factor intervals, and updating the baseline value set to the updated baseline value set, and optionally performing a corrective baseline algorithm on the updated baseline value set. The updated baseline value set may be utilized to correct subsequently measured raw data values.

In an example embodiment, a method of recovering a gas sensing apparatus from silicone poisoning is provided. The method includes exposing the gas sensing apparatus to a predetermined hydrogen concentration for a period of hydrogen exposure time. The predetermined hydrogen concentration breaks down the silicon oxide bonds formed on a catalytic bead of the gas sensing apparatus. The method also includes providing a methane concentration to the gas sensing apparatus for a period of methane exposure time. The method further includes determining that the gas sensing apparatus satisfies a predetermined calibration sensitivity based on the reaction of the gas sensing apparatus to the methane concentration.
