  • Publication number: 20220082219
Abstract: The present disclosure sets forth an outdoor security light with the flexibility of being mounted to either a wall structure or to an eave or ceiling structure. The security light can be adjusted for each installation without the necessity of changing hardware elements of the security luminaire. Disclosed designs include a luminaire housing having a housing mount which is removably received within a housing mount attached to a structure. The mechanical and electrical interface between the two may allow a removable engagement with a lock mechanism for an easy installation, while providing electrical power to the luminaire housing and communication therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20220082218
Abstract: The present disclosure sets forth an outdoor security light with the flexibility of being mounted to either a wall structure or to an eave or ceiling structure. The security light can be adjusted for each installation without the necessity of changing hardware elements of the security luminaire. Various embodiments allow for both a vertical installation wall mount, and a horizontal installation ceiling or eave mount, while maintaining appropriate outward orientation of the lamp heads while also allowing for appropriate positioning of a motion or other sensors.

  • Publication number: 20220086990
Abstract: A security light having optional and prioritized connection to multiple power supplies. The lighting controller can sense the appropriate connected supply and automatically connect to three different power supplies which include house voltage connection through a typical junction box, a remote solar charging station, and on board batteries that can be used as a third backup power supply. Additional implementations include prioritizing the connection to the plurality of electrical supplies and selecting one of the electrical supplies based upon a stored connection priority list or associated circuitry as well as including associated lighting characteristics for the prioritized selection.

  • Publication number: 20220082242
Abstract: The present disclosure sets forth a motion sensing outdoor security light with the flexibility of being mounted to either a wall structure or to an eave or ceiling structure. An adjustable spherical motion sensor housing may be provided with the rotationally adjustable outdoor security light, allowing easy adjustment of motion detection ranges under different mounting schemes without comprising the aesthetic design of the light. The adjustable spherical motion sensor housing may also provide an enlarged horizontal field of view for better performance.

  • Patent number: 7140922
Abstract: An AC/DC adapter in which an AC to DC converter is incorporated in a multiple outlet wall adapter. The AC/DC adapter includes at least one standard AC plug receptacle and at least one DC receptacle. Electronic devices which require DC power can be plugged into to the AC/DC adapter by a power cord having a universal DC plug at one end and a connector or plug specific to the make and/or model of the electronic device at the other end. The universal DC plug corresponds with the DC receptacle provided on the AC/DC adapter. The adapter may be formed as one integrated unit or as a modular assembly which includes an AC module and a DC module. In the assembly, the AC and DC modules are constructed so that they can be fitted together and used as one conveniently sized unit, but modules can also be used independently of the other.

  • Publication number: 20010046815
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing electrical energy to an electrical circuit without using a pronged plug are disclosed. A power connector includes a substrate with openings for receiving prongs of an electrical plug. Contacts supported on the substrate extend into the openings. The contacts are connected to the electrical circuit. The substrate is placed over an electrical outlet receptacle. When the prongs of the electrical plug are inserted through the two openings of the power connector and into the outlet receptacle, the prongs touch each of the contacts, respectively, such that electrical power can be supplied to the electrical circuit connected to the pair of contacts. The power connector can be incorporated into a wall plate mounted over an electrical outlet, either in place of or directly over an existing wall plate. An electrical circuit is housed within the wall plate.
