  • Patent number: 10873878
Abstract: A first communication device receives one or more aggregate medium access control (MAC) data units from respective one or more second communication devices, and generates one or more acknowledgement information fields. A first acknowledgement information field corresponds to a particular second communication device and includes a length indication that indicates a length of an acknowledgement field and the acknowledgment field of the indicated length. The length of the acknowledgement field is selected from a subset of predetermined lengths, among a set of predetermined lengths, the subset including multiple predetermined lengths that do not exceed a buffer size determined based on an acknowledgement setup procedure previously conducted between the first communication device and the particular second communication device.

  • Publication number: 20200389259
Abstract: A wireless communication device generates physical layer (PHY) protocol service data units (PSDUs), and, in response to determining that the PHY data unit is to be transmitted according to a HARQ process, generates HARQ coding units of a common length, each of the HARQ coding units including a respective set of one or more PSDUs, and individually encodes the HARQ coding units. The wireless communication device also generates a HARQ signal field to the included in a PHY preamble of the PHY data unit. The HARQ signal field includes i) a common information subfield to indicate one or more parameters that commonly apply to each of at least some of the one or more HARQ coding units and ii) a respective HARQ coding unit information subfield for each of the HARQ coding units to indicate one or more parameters that apply to only the corresponding HARQ coding unit.

  • Patent number: 10862549
Abstract: A first communication device allocates respective frequency sub-channels for subsequent orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) communications with two or more second communication devices, including allocating a first frequency sub-channel, a second frequency sub-channel, and a third frequency sub-channel between the first frequency sub-channel and the second frequency sub-channel. The first communication device generates and transmits a first downlink OFDMA data unit configured to prompt the two or more second communication devices to transmit as part of a multi-user transmission that spans the first frequency sub-channel, the second frequency sub-channel, and the third frequency sub-channel.
