  • Publication number: 20060177659
Abstract: The invention provides a powder containing carbon nanotube or nanofiber and a process for producing the same. Said powder containing a carbon nanotube or nanofiber is composed of a carrier and a carbon nanotube or nanofiber. Said carrier is a micrometer-sized particle such as Al2O3, SiO2, TiO2, CaO, SiC, WC and an acrylic high molecular sphere. Said carbon nanotube or nanofiber is grown on the surface of the carrier by a chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method and their diameter is in a range of several nanometer to several hundreds nanometer. Said carbon nanotube or nanofiber is a multi-wall carbon nanotube (MWCNT) and is in a curved shape. Said process for producing said powder containing a carbon nanotube or nanofiber comprises a pretreatment, a sensitization treatment, an activation treatment, an electroless plating treatment and a growth treatment.

  • Publication number: 20060026863
Abstract: A shoe sole is composed of particles of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate and the particles are connected with each other with gaps defined between the particles so as to form irregular surface of the shoe sole. The sole is made by filling the particles to 77% to 87% of volume of a cavity in a mold set, wherein an angle 40 to 50 degrees is clamped between a spinning axis of the cavity and an axis to which the mold set is rotated about. The mold set is then heated to 140 to 160 degrees Celsius and spins the mold set about the spinning axis 22 to 32 minutes. After cooling the mold set, the shoe sole is formed and is removed from the cavity.

  • Patent number: 6268709
Abstract: A charging device for a cellular phone includes a first housing having a first receiving space provided with a plurality of terminals on an inner side wall thereof. One outer side wall of the first housing is connected pivotally to an outer side wall of a second housing. The second housing has a second receiving space in the same direction as the first receiving space. The inner wall of the second receiving space is provided with two conductors. A voltage multiplier circuit and a voltage stabilizing and rectifying circuit are disposed between the first and second housings. In use, a rechargeable battery of the cellular phone is disposed in the first receiving space, whereas conventional batteries are disposed in the second receiving space to permit charging of the rechargeable battery via the circuits. The charging device is convenient to use and does not occupy a lot of space.

  • Patent number: 5811277
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for recovery and purification of isoamylase by raw starch adsorption method. Various raw starches are used to recover the isoamylase produced by a bacterium such as Pseudomonas amyloderamosa. The method comprises using raw starch to adsorb isoamylase under conditions suitable for such adsorption and isolating the adsorbed enzyme. The isoamylase adsorption rate varied with the species of raw starch. Additionally, raw starch can be recycled.

  • Patent number: 5318266
Abstract: A diametrically adjustable and collapsible holder for drinking vessels having a vertical position plate, two semi-round arms fixed with an arm holding base pivotally connected with the position plate, and a plate cap also pivotally with the position plate to be swung open for 90.degree. or closed together relative to each other. The semi-round arms define a round hole for a drinking vessel such as a cup or a can to fit therein and to sit on an inner surface of the plate cap. The semi-round arms are provided with gear teeth to engage each other to enable both arms to move inward or outward to enlarge or contract the hole they define.
