    Abstract: Disclosed herein are secure transaction systems having secure elements that are initialized and activated independent from each other. The secure element is first initialized to make the secure element turn to a state in which the secure element can be packaged, sold within retail stores, and then injected with encryption keys. The initialization process of the secure element formulates the secure element to ensure trust between the secure elements and secure element activation servers. The process of independently initializing and activating the secure elements while still addressing the security protocols allows the secure element to be packaged and sold within retail stores after initialization, and then activating the secure element at a later date and time when the secure element is ready to be used by a merchant.

The ranking engine 104 uses the list of files-of-interest to search corresponding files in the list from the original database 105, score corresponding files to obtain the plurality of scores based on a plurality of paragraph scores for ranking files, where each paragraph score is calculated based on a number of matched query-keywords, frequency of occurrences and proximity distances between matched keywords within each paragraph.

The module connector is configured to operatively couple the pluggable module to a host device. The thumbscrews are housed within one or more portions of the shell and are configured to threadably secure the pluggable module to the host device. The pluggable module can further comprise protecting means for protecting a portion of the module connector extending outside the cavity from damage.
