  • Patent number: 4995574
Abstract: Device for increasing the lateral stability of a helicopter having a tricycle landing gear (2, 6), when it is set down on a moving platform. The device comprises two lateral stabilizers (13), each equipped with a wheel (16) for support on the platform and connected to the structure of the helicopter by an essentially rigid support, comprising a leg (17), about whose axis the wheel (16) can turn, the leg (17) itself being connected to the structure by a rigid and transverse component which may be a pivot axle if the leg can be raised, or a slidingly fitted arm if the stabilizer (13) is additional. The stabilizers may also be integrated into a towing trolley.

  • Patent number: 4529152
Abstract: The invention relates to devices for maneuvering helicopters on the deck of a ship. According to the invention, the helicopter, whose landing gear comprises at least one swivelling wheel, is maneuvered between a take-off and landing area and a garage area on the deck of a ship with the aid of a guide carriage, moving in a guide rail and connected to a fitting on the helicopter by a telescopic rod or a cable, as well as a guide bar engaged by a roller in the rail and hooked by a fork joint on the axle of the swivelling wheels of the helicopter. When the helicopter is displaced towards the garage area by traction on a towing cable hooked at the front of the helicopter on the rear of which is hooked a retaining cable maintained tensioned, the helicopter automatically and progressively aligns itself on the axis of the rail due to the guide bar. The invention is more particularly applicable to flight decks of ships, platforms, etc.

  • Patent number: 4268222
Abstract: The invention relates to equipment which makes it possible to fold the blades of a rotor, in particular of the type comprising a star-shaped hub with arms flexible in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the star-shaped hub. This equipment comprises a housing which is detachably mounted on the rigid central part of the rotor hub. This housing carries elongate supports at the side. The free end of each support is detachably joined to the upper part of the folding shaft of the corresponding blade. This folding shaft can consist of a spindle replacing a link shaft between the foot of the blade and the corresponding arm of the hub.
