  • Publication number: 20190130050
Abstract: In one embodiment, the present disclosure pertains to dynamically generating normalized master data. In one embodiment, input records comprising string representations of entities are received from multiple sources. The input records may be used as queries to a similarity search data store of master data records. One or more most likely matching master records are returned with corresponding similarity scores. The input record, master record, and a training set are processed using a machine learning algorithm. In one embodiment, one or more similarity scores are incorporated into the machine learning algorithm. The machine learning algorithm produces a final score. Data from input records may be merged into the master records if the final score is greater than a threshold.

  • Publication number: 20190043562
Abstract: An example device in accordance with an aspect of the present disclosure includes an active oxide layer to form and dissipate a conductive bridge. The conductive bridge is to dissipate spontaneously within a relaxation time to enable the memory device to self-refresh according to volatile behavior in response to the input voltage being below a threshold corresponding to disregarding sneak current and noise of a crossbar array in which the memory device is to operate. The conductive bridge is to persist beyond the relaxation time to enable the memory device to retain programming for neuromorphic computing training according to non-volatile behavior of the memory device in response to the input voltage not being below the threshold.

  • Patent number: 10199012
Abstract: Parameters of a display may be adjusted in response to accessing a time value corresponding to an electronic device that includes the display. A brightness value of the display may be adjusted based on the time value to maintain a display characteristic value within a predefined range and below a threshold. The display characteristic value may be independently controllable by one of the brightness or the color temperature of the display. A set of red green blue (RGB) color values of the display may be adjusted independent of the adjustment to the brightness value to maintain the display characteristic value within the predefined range and below the threshold while maintaining the brightness value of the display. In some examples, the RGB color values of the display may be adjusted at approximately the same time as the adjustment of the set of RGB color values of the display is performed.

  • Publication number: 20190035356
Abstract: An electronic device may have components that experience performance variations as the device changes orientation relative to a user. Changes in the orientation of the device relative to the user can be monitored using a motion sensor. A camera may be used to periodically capture images of a user's eyes. By processing the images to produce accurate orientation information reflecting the position of the user's eyes relative to the device, the orientation of the device tracked by the motion sensor can be periodically updated. The components may include audio components such as microphones and speakers and may include a display with an array of pixels for displaying images. Control circuitry in the electronic device may modify pixel values for the pixels in the array to compensate for angle-of-view-dependent pixel appearance variations based on based on the orientation information from the motion sensor and the camera.

  • Patent number: 10164679
Abstract: An electronic device may have conductive housing structures and first, second, third, and fourth slot antennas having respective first, second, third, and fourth slot elements in the conductive housing structures. The third slot element may be interposed between the first and second slot elements and the second slot element may be interposed between the third and fourth slot elements. Switching circuitry may be coupled between a transceiver and the slot elements. Control circuitry may control the switching circuitry to activate a selected pair of the slot antennas based on an orientation of the device or other data. The active pair of antennas may convey radio-frequency signals at the same frequencies using a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) communications scheme. In this way, the device may perform wireless communications at relatively high data throughputs regardless of how the device is being held by a user.

  • Patent number: 10155941
Abstract: An approach to collect and interpret results from Y2H screens uses high-throughput next-generation sequencing technologies. In particular, this system is appropriate to generate comprehensive profiles of protein-protein interactions (PPIs), allowing also a side-by-side comparison of specific PPI patterns with that from control samples and allows a direct comparison of PPI patterns displayed by proteins in their wild-type and various mutant conformations. While sample preparation relies to the most part on established transcriptome and RNA sequencing procedures, this invention also encloses a specific DNA preparation step to sequester irrelevant and contaminating sequences from the sample.

  • Publication number: 20180359212
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for enabling communication between different overlay solutions. The method includes one or more processor obtaining an address resolution request from a first resource in a first domain for a second resource in a second domain. Both domains are in a shared computing environment and the second domain includes a control plane engine. The one or more processor obtains source information from the request, registers the information to the engine, and utilizes the request to query the engine to locate the second resource in the domain. The second resource matches the request. The processor receives a response from the engine identifying a first host and the first host is in the second domain and is the host of the second resource. The processor sends a notification request to the first host requesting that the first host reply to the request.
