  • Patent number: 5108276
Abstract: For the production of spunbonded fabrics there is given a process consisting in that monocomponent or bicomponent fibers are spun from multiline longitudinal spinning nozzles mounted in rows on double spinning beams in such a way that the emerging filament rovings overlap over the entire production width, that, before depositing, the filament rovings are cooled by transverse blowing from one side and by sucking-off on their other side freed from spinning vapors, mechanically and/or aerodynamically stretched and deposited to the web.The apparatus described comprises double spinning beams with a length of 800 to 8,000 mm which carry multiline longitudinal spinning nozzles staggered to one another with high hole numbers, with lengths of the individual nozzles from 500 to 700 mm.

  • Patent number: 4753698
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing spun bonded nonwoven fabrics which have a highly uniform fleece structure and a uniform weight per unit area. In the method, a plurality of linear ranks of filaments, disposed side by side are spun from a plurality of long spinnerets. The filaments are aerodynamically drawn downward, stretched, and then fixed on a moving screen. The linear ranks of filaments are deflected and set in a pendular movement. The ranks are carried on an air cushion on the moving screen through a spreading section in which the ranks of filaments are turned around and laid down in a criss-crossing and substantially loop-like manner, and are fixed on the screen by vacuum.

  • Patent number: 4578134
Abstract: A process for the production of spunbonded webs by the aerodynamic drawing of filaments or filament rows which are drawn by means of air currents divided into component currents whereby the air current is divided into a conditioning current and a drawing current for the conduction and the drawing of the filaments or filament rows, and into a deposition zone current for the fixation of the web, which is deposited in random texture, in its transportation on the perforated collecting screen, and the deposition zone current being sucked off, together with the spinning space current, in a plurality of zones and being returned to the spinning room as a holding current. An additional spinning room current for balancing out the overall system is introduced into the spinning room. The conditioning current and the drawing current are introduced in solely added air mode and the depositing current and holding current are, respectively, within and without in mostly circulated air mode.
