The UE measures a reference signal, received no later than a second downlink slot that is a latest valid downlink slot no later than M downlink slots prior to the first downlink slot, to generate the channel state information.

The UE determines priority levels of a plurality of messages based on at least one predetermined rule. The plurality of messages contain channel state information to be reported to a base station. The at least one predetermined rule specifies that a message including an indicator indicating at least one of a beam selection at a particular dimension and an orthogonal beam group selection has a priority level higher than a priority level of a message including an indicator indicating at least one of a beam direction from a group of beam candidates or co-phasing between two sets of antennas for two polarizations. The UE sends, to the base station, one or more messages of the plurality of messages based on the priority levels of the plurality of messages.

    Abstract: Various examples with respect to frequency-selective precoding for uplink (UL) transmissions in mobile communications are described. A processor of a user equipment (UE) receives signaling from a network node of a wireless network. The processor then performs a codebook-based UL transmission to the network node with frequency-selective precoding in a subband of a plurality of subbands according to the signaling received from the network. For non-codebook-based UL transmissions, the processor performs a non-codebook-based UL transmission of a beamformed sounding reference signal (SRS) to the network node by determining a precoder and performing frequency-selective precoding on the SRS using the precoder with a size of precoder bundling for the frequency-selective precoding in a frequency domain known by the network node.

The UE determines a second precoder matrix for combining the set of beams. The second precoder matrix includes at least two groups of coefficients each including coefficients being normalized based on a respective reference coefficient. Each coefficient corresponds to a respective one beam of the L beams at a particular polarization on a respective one delay tap of the M delay taps. The UE quantizes coefficients of the second precoder. The UE transmits an indication of the second precoder matrix having quantized coefficients.

    Abstract: Methods of enabling multiuser superposition transmission (MUST) in LTE systems are proposed. MUST operation allows simultaneous transmission for multiple co-channel users on the same time-frequency resources. A higher-layer signaling is used for configuring a UE to enable MUST. When a UE is configured by higher layer to enable MUST, the UE will monitor physical-layer control signaling carrying scheduling information and MUST-related information. Depending on whether MUST exists in each subframe, the UE derives the power allocation between the UE and its co-channel UE on allocated resource blocks. The UE also derives the power allocation based on whether it is configured for CRS-based transmission mode or DMRS-based transmission mode.
