Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for affiliate interrupt detection. An example method disclosed herein includes determining whether a first time period of a first audio signal corresponds to a first affiliate interrupt period based on whether (1) a first type of watermark is detected in the first time period of the first audio signal, and (2) a second type of watermark is detected in the first audio signal outside the first time period but not in the first time period of the first audio signal, and determining whether the first time period of the first audio signal corresponds to the first affiliate interrupt period when watermarks are not detected in the first time period of the first audio signal based on comparison of first signatures with second signatures representing a corresponding first time period of a reference audio signal.

  • Publication number: 20230281560
Abstract: A method of forming a consensus from a collection of ideas is disclosed. The ideas may be generated by a collection of participants, or may be provided to the collection of participants. The ideas are divided into non-exclusive groups for evaluation, with each group being provided to a participant for voting. Each participant chooses a favorite idea from the group, or selects a first and second choice, or a first, second and third choice. The votes are tallied, and for each idea a “win percentage” is calculated, which is defined as the ratio of the number of groups in which a particular idea wins the voting, divided by the number of groups in which a particular idea appears. Each idea that has a “win percentage” that exceeds a particular threshold is passed on to one or more subsequent rounds of voting. If desired, the voting may continue until a single idea is chosen as the consensus. In some rounds of voting, the groups are configured so that a participant does not vote on his/her own idea.

  • Patent number: 11734091
Abstract: A remote procedure call channel for interprocess communication in a managed code environment ensures thread-affinity on both sides of an interprocess communication. Using the channel, calls from a first process to a second process are guaranteed to run on a same thread in a target process. Furthermore, calls from the second process back to the first process will also always execute on the same thread. An interprocess communication manager that allows thread affinity and reentrancy is able to correctly keep track of the logical thread of execution so calls are not blocked in unmanaged hosts. Furthermore, both unmanaged and managed hosts are able to make use of transparent remote call functionality provided by an interprocess communication manager for the managed code environment.

  • Patent number: 11679497
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for distributed robotic demonstration learning. One of the methods includes receiving a skill template to be trained to cause a robot to perform a particular skill having a plurality of subtasks. One or more demonstration subtasks defined by the skill template are identified, wherein each demonstration subtask is an action to be refined using local demonstration data. On online execution system uploads sets of local demonstration data to a cloud-based training system. The cloud-based training system generates respective trained model parameters for each set of local demonstration data. The skill template is executed on the robot using the trained model parameters generated by the cloud-based training system.
