    Abstract: It is presented a method for obtaining a capability of channel spacing between component carriers used in carrier aggregation for a user equipment, UE. The method is performed in a network node and comprises the step of: determining, from a plurality of alternatives, the capability of channel spacing for the UE based on signalling between the UE and the network node, the channel spacing capability comprising at least one of the alternatives of: a multiple of 300 kHz, a multiple of 15 kHz and any other channel spacing. Configuration information for one of the multiple radio frequency component carriers is signaled to indicate at least one of the component carriers is configured to operate in a selected one of the first mode of operation and the second mode of operation so that a network radio node and a user equipment radio node can communicate using the selected mode of operation.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for identifying carrier-aggregation band combinations that may be supported by a mobile terminal with limited performance. According to one example method, a mobile terminal sends (710) a band capability information element to the network (e.g., to a 3GPP eNB). The band capability information element contains data indicating which band combinations the mobile terminal supports for carrier aggregation. In addition, the mobile terminal sends (720) additional information (e.g., one or more new parameters) associated with at least one specific band combination. In some cases, this new information indicates that a specific band combination has limited support. In these or in other embodiments, the new information contains information about an amount or type of limitation. This latter information may be present on its own, or in combination with the information that more generally indicates that the mobile terminal is capable of only limited support for a specific band combination.

    Abstract: A wireless communication node (10) dynamically estimates passive intermodulation (PIM) interference coupled into the node's receive path from the transmission of a composite signal through the node's transmit path. The node (10) then cancels the estimated PIM interference in the receive path. In some embodiments, the node dynamically estimates the PIM interference as a function of the composite signal that models PIM interference generation and coupling in the node (10) according to one or more coefficients (30). The coefficients (30) may be determined by transmitting a test signal (34) during a test stage, when the node (10) is not scheduled to receive any signal. Later, when the composite signal (18) is transmitted, the node (10) uses the coefficients (10) to dynamically estimate and cancel the resulting PIM interference.

    Abstract: A wireless communication node (10) dynamically estimates passive intermodulation (PIM) interference coupled into the node's receive path from the transmission of a composite signal through the node's transmit path. The node (10) then cancels the estimated PIM interference in the receive path. In some embodiments, the node dynamically estimates the PIM interference as a function of the composite signal that models PIM interference generation and coupling in the node (10) according to one or more coefficients (30).
