  • Publication number: 20220413876
Abstract: A scheme for restoring a password-protected endpoint device (e.g., a memory device) of a computer system to an operational state from a low power state without requiring user input of a device password. A password received for unlocking the device during a boot process is stored in a secure memory. The password-protected endpoint device subsequently enters the low power state, causing it to lock. During a transition from the low power state to an operational state, it is detected that the password for the endpoint device is stored in the secure memory. The password is fetched from the secure memory and used to unlock the endpoint device, thereby restoring the endpoint device to an operational state.

  • Patent number: 11537433
Abstract: A system, computer program product, and method to deriving a cost model and dynamic adjustment of the derived model responsive to dynamic modification of one or more of the resources in a hybrid shared resource environment. Resources and corresponding configuration information are collected while monitoring runtime utilization of resource performance. As changes to the resources are discovered, the changes are subject to an assessment. A hybrid cost model is derived and configured to account for the one or more resources. The derived hybrid cost model is leveraged to conduct a multi-dimensional resource evaluation of the assessed changed configuration information. Responsive to the multi-dimensional evaluation, a generated resource utilization optimization of the one or more resources is selectively implemented.

  • Publication number: 20220405281
Abstract: Data warehousing solutions utilize lengthy and complex SQL instructions. These SQL instructions are difficult to parse and understand underlying logic/transformations performed. Conventionally, extensive analysis, time and effort needs to be spent to understand such SQL instructions and detect any data abnormalities in the SQL instructions. This technical challenge is exacerbated in high-volume production systems that include multiple systems that each utilize their own sets of SQL instructions. Apparatus and methods described herein take as input a natural language inquiry received from a user. The system attempts to parse the natural language inquiry to identify one or more relevant SQL instructions. Apparatus and methods may utilize AI and natural language processing to locate relevant SQL instructions, deconstruct them into subqueries and map a logical operational flow. Based on the mapped logic flow, a natural language response may be formulated to the user inquiry.

  • Publication number: 20220405491
Abstract: A task comprising content specified in a first language at a first location associated with an organization is received at a task application associated with a second location of the organization. The task specifies work to be performed at the second location associated with the organization. In response to determining that the first language is different from a second language preferred by a task recipient at the second location of the organization, translation of at least a portion of content of the task from the first language into the second language is automatically obtained by the task application. At least the portion of the content of the task translated to the second language is then displayed to the task recipient in a user interface of the task application.

  • Publication number: 20220408014
Abstract: A machine learning (ML) operating mode is selected for a camera. A physical orientation of a housing of a camera is determined. In response to determining the orientation, an operating mode from a set of operating modes is selected. The set of operating modes includes at least a ML inference mode and a ML training mode. Based on the selected operating mode, images obtained by an image capturing unit are processed. In the ML inference mode, a ML controller applies a ML model to the images to infer or predict characteristics of the image (e.g., detecting objects within the images). In the ML training mode, the ML controller is configured to cause a ML model to be trained using images captured by the image capturing unit, either local to the camera or on a remotely located computing device.

  • Publication number: 20220408106
Abstract: A video hardware engine which support dynamic frame padding is disclosed. The video hardware engine includes an external memory. The external memory stores a reference frame. The reference frame includes a plurality of reference pixels. A motion estimation (ME) engine receives a current LCU (largest coding unit), and defines a search area around the current LCU for motion estimation. The ME engine receives a set of reference pixels corresponding to the current LCU. The set of reference pixels of the plurality of reference pixels are received from the external memory. The ME engine pads a set of duplicate pixels along an edge of the reference frame when a part area of the search area is outside the reference frame.

  • Publication number: 20220405603
Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to system and method for determining explainability of machine predicted decisions. Typical explainable AI (XAI) solutions are limited by type of data processed, such as structured, semi-structured and unstructured text. In addition, due to limited automation of the process of explainability, typical systems are cumbersome and time-consuming. The system and method provide an end to end solution for automating the determination of explainability of machine predicted decisions. The XAI process output an absolute relevance score indicative of relevance of the features associated with the prediction which is indicative of percentage relevance/contribution of individual feature. The system further computes relative relevance score of the features by adding up all the features and calculating how much each individual feature is contributing to the total score. The relative relevance scores are utilized for determining explainability of decisions of the prediction.
