Abstract: A three dimensional circuit system includes first and second integrated circuit (IC) dies. The first IC die includes programmable logic circuits arranged in sectors and first programmable interconnection circuits having first router circuits. The second IC die includes non-programmable circuits arranged in regions and second programmable interconnection circuits having second router circuits. Each of the regions in the second IC die is vertically aligned with at least one of the sectors in the first IC die. Each of the second router circuits is coupled to one of the first router circuits through a vertical die-to-die connection. The first and second programmable interconnection circuits are programmable to route signals between the programmable logic circuits and the non-programmable circuits through the first and second router circuits. The circuit system may include additional IC dies. The first and second IC dies and any additional IC dies are coupled in a vertically stacked configuration.

  • Patent number: 11487667
Abstract: A cache subsystem is disclosed. The cache subsystem includes a cache configured to store information in cache lines arranged in a plurality of ways. A requestor circuit generates a request to access a particular cache line in the cache. A prediction circuit is configured to generate a prediction of which of the ways includes the particular cache line. A comparison circuit verifies the prediction by comparing a particular address tag associated with the particular cache line to a cache tag corresponding to a predicted one of the ways. Responsive to determining that the prediction was correct, a confirmation indication is stored indicating the correct prediction. For a subsequent request for the particular cache line, the cache is configured to forego a verification of the prediction that the particular cache line is included in the one of the ways based on the confirmation indication.

  • Patent number: 11490536
Abstract: An elevator provides for lifting and disconnecting an electronic device from a chassis circuit board and the subsequent removal of the device from a chassis slot. A sliding element between the device and the slot includes tracks within which travel followers associated with the electronic device. Motion in a first direction the tracks causes the tracks to move with respect to the followers, raising the device away from the circuit board. In a fully raised position, the device is disconnected and may be removed from the slot. Motion in the opposite direction causes the relative motion between the track and follower to lower the device toward the circuit board. In a fully seated position, the device is connected to the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 11483312
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for using special session identifiers to defer additional authentication steps (AAS) for at least some restricted application actions. A client session is associated with a special session identifier that is mapped to an authentication tier (AT) achieved for the session based on the satisfied authentication steps. Web servers that are enabled for AAS deferral include context information, which identifies a requested action, with session verification requests to an authentication service. The authentication service determines that AAS is required to perform an action when (a) the AT associated with the action is a higher-security tier than the AT associated with the session, or (b) the session is associated with an AT that is lower than the highest-security AT and there is no context information accompanying the request for session validation, in which case the authentication service assumes that the highest-security AT is required to perform the request.

  • Publication number: 20220331502
Abstract: The embodiments provide a bioengineered artificial functional liver which is connected to a patient suffering from acute liver failure and would functional like an ectopic liver. The device uses the cells derived from the patient's own body thereby nullifying the chances of self/non-self-recognition and related immune activation and rejection. The extracted liver cells are grown on a customized 3D matrix called as 3D cell cartridge and these cell cartridges individually function as miniature liver assemblies. Multiple such assemblies when working in parallel would rescue the condition of liver failure. A microfluidic chamber is built with the similar network as found in the liver and the chamber has flow circuits for plasma/de-cellularised blood and the flow circuits are lined by a coculture of hepatocytes, endothelial cells and fibroblasts. The array of cells in the chamber serve as a miniature liver and multiple such arrays will be stacked to achieve a significant hepatic function.

  • Publication number: 20220334995
Abstract: A port is to couple to another die over a die-to-die (D2D) link and includes a die-tio-die (D2D) adapter to determine, from a set of registers, a set of capabilities of the D2D adapter to advertise in a negotiation with a link partner D2D adapter, where the D2D adapter is on a die and the link partner D2D adapter is located on a remote link partner die. A first capabilities advertisement message is sent to the link partner D2D adapter to advertise the set of capabilities to the link partner D2D adapter. A second capabilities advertisement message is received from the link partner D2D adapter, wherein the second capabilities advertisement message identifies a set of capabilities of the link partner D2D adapter. A final configuration of a D2D link is determined to couple the die to the link partner die.
