  • Patent number: 11188248
Abstract: A pass-through snapshot engine records lifecycle data and chronological status of files or objects, in one or more pass-through snapshots during a backup. If there is an abort, the pass-through snapshot engine freezes the pass-through snapshot(s) and terminates the backup. To restart after the abort, the pass-through snapshot engine sends one or more pass-through snapshots to the backup agent. The backup agent restarts the backup, and enforces states of lifecycle and chronology to files or objects, and discards files or objects that have already been backed up to the target device, in accordance with the one or more pass-through snapshots.

  • Publication number: 20210367950
Abstract: A system includes a set of adapter interfaces, a router module, and a processor. Each adapter interface is assigned to a different level of security. The router module sends requests to the adapter interfaces, based on the security levels associated with the devices that submitted the requests. A first adapter interface establishes a first connection to the servers, providing access to a first zone. A second adapter interface establishes a second connection to the servers, providing access to a second zone. The first zone includes a set of resources assigned to the first level of security that is not included in the second zone. • Publication number: 20210357197
Abstract: The disclosed technology provides for packaging a secure cloud workload at a workload provisioning service. A unique device identifier is received from an edge device. The unique identifier is associated with the edge device. A unique packaging key is cryptographically generated based on the received unique device identifier, a unique workload identifier corresponding to a secure cloud workload to be executed on the edge device, and a nonce. The secure cloud workload is encrypted to generate a packaged secure cloud workload using the cryptographically generated unique packaging key. The encrypted secure cloud workload is transmitted to the edge device. The edge device is capable of independently cryptographically generating the unique packaging key using the unique device identifier, the unique workload identifier, and the nonce. The edge device is also capable of decrypting the packaged secure cloud workload using the generated unique packaging key cryptographically generated by the edge device.

  • Patent number: 11178041
Abstract: Techniques are described in which a centralized controller, such as a software defined networking (SDN) controller, constructs a service chain that includes a physical network function (PNF) between a bare metal server (BMS) and a virtual execution element (e.g., virtual machine or container), or in some instances a remote BMS, or vice-versa. In accordance with the techniques disclosed herein, the controller may construct an inter-network service chain that includes PNFs, or a combination of PNFs and virtualized network functions (VNFs). The controller may construct an inter-network service chain to steer traffic between a BMS and a virtual execution element or remote BMS through an inter-network service chain using Virtual Extensible Local Area Network (VXLAN) as an underlying transport technology through the service chain.

  • Publication number: 20210350810
Abstract: Systems and processes for operating an intercom system via a digital assistant are provided. The intercom system is trigger-free, in that users communicate, in real-time, via devices without employing a trigger to speak. Acoustic fingerprints are employed to associate users with devices. Acoustic fingerprints include vector embeddings of speech input in an acoustic-feature vector space. Speech heard at multiple devices, as embedded in a fingerprint, may be clustered in the vector space, and the structure of the clusters is employed to associate users and devices. Based on the fingerprints, a device is mapped to a user, and the user employs that device to participate in a conversation, via the intercom service.
