  • Publication number: 20220382656
Abstract: The disclosure includes a computer-implemented method for providing fast data access after a drive failure, a computer program product, and a RAID controller. One embodiment may comprise identifying a RAID array, the RAID array comprising a plurality of storage volumes, identifying an unused block of a provisioned volume in the RAID array, and copying a redundant copy of high value host writes to the unused block. The copying may comprise, for primary strips in the RAID array, creating one or more secondary strips mirroring the primary strips such that each of pair of primary-secondary strips reside on different storage volumes from each other.

  • Patent number: 11488372
Abstract: A method and system for creating virtual personality renderings generated from a personality profile exclusively associated with an individual, the rendering depicted in the form of a geometric object in virtual 3D space representing personality traits of the individual. The rendering may comprise a virtual shape having a surface area divided into multiple regions, with each region representative of a personality trait. Personality datapoints may be introduced into the base personality model to generate a unique rendering which is unique for the individual's personality. As personality datapoints are added to personality profile, multiple vectors may project from the base model, causing the base personality model to reconfigure into a non-uniform shape, which is representative of the individual's unique personality. The vectors may represent the magnitude of personality traits.

  • Publication number: 20220218649
Abstract: A composition for treating opioid withdrawal and method of manufacture and administration of the composition creates a synergistic combination of cannabinoids, terpenoids, herbs, and medicinal mushrooms that help to eliminate the symptoms of opioid withdrawal by creating a medicinal entourage. The composition combines: between about 2.5 to 100 milligrams of a cannabinoid, between about 0.084 to 33.6 milligrams of a terpenoid, between about 0.5 to 3000 milligrams of an herb, and between about 25 to 2500 milligrams of a medicinal mushroom. The composition is orally administered in a lipid-enclosed capsule form. The terpenoid has a lipophilic nature that enhances the bioavailability of the cannabinoid. The herb works with the body's endocannabinoid system to enhance pain relief capacity of the cannabinoid, so as to help inhibit symptoms of opioid withdrawal. The medicinal mushroom comprises a psychedelic drug that creates a therapeutic effect with the cannabinoid to inhibit symptoms of opioid withdrawal.

  • Publication number: 20220198242
Abstract: A method and system for predictive application of virtual personality renderings generated from a personality model/profile for an individual depicted in the form of a geometric object that represents the personality profile for the individual. The personality rendering may comprise a virtual shape having a surface area divided into multiple regions, with each region defining a personality trait. The system collects personality datapoints from individuals or representative of the individuals. Each personality datapoint represents a magnitude to which the individual exhibits a personality trait. The personality datapoints are introduced into the base personality model to generate a unique personality rendering. As personality data points are added to base personality model, multiple vectors may project therefrom, causing the base personality model to reconfigure into a non-uniform shape representative of the individual's unique personality.

  • Publication number: 20220134047
Abstract: Gamma brain stimulation for preventing or treating Alzheimer's disease or sleeping disorders using light or sound is known. A strobing 40 Hz light source has been shown to cause positive effects due to the stimulation. It is an advantage to know the actual dosage of light that enters the person's eyes in order to understand the relationship between dosage and effectiveness. A camera is used to detect the subject's gaze angle, distance, pupil diameter and any other factors that affect the light power that enters the eye. A target dosage is first determined by a medical worker, such as to determine the effects of the exact same dosage on a group persons, such as Alzheimer's patients. With deviations of gaze angle, distance, and pupil size from the ideal, the effective dosage is decreased. The disclosed system adjusts the actual dosage, such as session duration, based on such factors so that the final dosage received by the person is consistent and meets the target dosage.

  • Patent number: 10888304
Abstract: Methods and system for producing combined photoacoustic/ultrasonic image frames use a low-power narrow beam laser to direct sequential pulses along a path overlying an internal region of interest. Photoacoustic responses are received and used to generate sub-frames. Between each of the laser pulses a plurality of ultrasound pulse-echo beams are sequentially emitted towards the region of interest, and the reflections are received and used to generate ultrasound sub-frames. The photoacoustic sub-frames are combined to produce a photoacoustic frame, and the ultrasound sub-frames are combined to produce an ultrasound frame. The photoacoustic and ultrasound frames are combined to produce an image frame. The method and system are suitable for producing real-time, high-contrast video.
