The light source device has a substrate 2, a board-like first reflector 3 erected vertically to traverse a center section on the substrate 2 while both side surfaces face outward, and a plurality of LED chips 4 positioned on the substrate 2 as a plurality of light emitting elements so as to surround the first reflector 3. At least both side surfaces of the first reflector 3 have a light reflecting function. Thereby, a light source device is obtained, which has an enhanced light distribution characteristic with sufficiently homogeneous diffused light and can be readily manufactured with a simple configuration.
