  • Patent number: 5685163
Abstract: A liquid injection type scroll compressor is used to a refrigerating apparatus using hydrocarbon fluoride refrigerant which does not contain chlorine (HFC-125/HFC-143a/HFC-134a) as an operating fluid and an amount of an injected liquid is controlled according to a discharge temperature of the compressor. Further, ester oil is used as refrigerator oil and a dryer is disposed in a refrigerating cycle. With this arrangement, a refrigerating cycle operation can be stably realized in a wide range without almost changing the arrangement of a conventional refrigerating apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5409555
Abstract: An article of manufacture made of a magnesium alloy is made by casting the magnesium alloy to provide a casting, forging the casting to render material of the casting to have an average crystalline particle size of not greater than 100 .mu.m, and carrying out a T6 treatment (a solution treatment and an artificial aging treatment) with respect to the casting. Physical properties such as, for example, the tensile strength, elongation and the like of the article are considerably improved by virtue of the synergistic effect of the micronized crystalline particles and the T6 treatment.

  • Patent number: 5130869
Abstract: The invention provides an information recording/reproducing apparatus having a device for loading a cartridge internally holding an information recording medium, an opposing member directly facing the information recording medium at least in a recording mode, and a device for transferring the opposing member. When inserting the cartridge into the information recording/reproducing apparatus, the cartridge loading device transfers the cartridge at least in the direction of the thickness of the cartridge, and then the transfer device transfers the opposing member positioned outside an extended space in the direction of the thickness of the cartridge to a position at which the opposing member directly faces the information recording medium inside the extended space in the direction of the thickness of the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 4976917
Abstract: Quench-solidifed Al-Si alloy powder which contains more than 12 wt % Si is preformed, and the preforming is compression-molded into an aluminum alloy part. The aluminum alloy part is repeatedly subjected to a heating-and-cooling cycle of heating the aluminum alloy part to a temperature between 440.degree. C. and 500.degree. C. and cooling it to a temperature not higher than 380.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 4623995
Abstract: The present invention relates to a recording disc reproducing device wherein a disc like recording medium is held in a disc case having an opening at one end thereof, for insertion and removal of the disc like recording medium. The disc like recording medium remains inside the body of the device after pulling out the disc case which has been inserted to a predetermined position in the body of the device. The opening of the disc case inserted into the body of the device is expanded to be opened by an opening mechanism and after the disc case has been inserted part way into the device the disc case is secured by a latch connected to the opening mechanism. Further movement of the disc case into the device is possible after the latch engages the disc case.

  • Patent number: 4581452
Abstract: A process for preparing a 5-perfluoroalkyl-dihydrouracil derivative of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.f represents a perfluoroalkyl group, each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, or an alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, aralkyl or heterocyclic group, and Y is an oxygen or sulfur atom, which comprises (a) reacting a compound of the general formula ##STR2## wherein X represents a halogen atom or hydroxyl group, with a urea derivative of the general formula ##STR3## provided that when X is a hydroxyl group and at least one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, said reaction is carried out in the presence of a condensing agent, or (b) cyclizing a compound of the general formula ##STR4## and a novel intermediate compound of the above formula (IV).

  • Patent number: 4482991
Abstract: A disk clamping mechanism for disk recording and reproducing devices of the type in which when a disk cartridge with a disk enclosed therein is inserted into the device the disk clamping mechanism is actuated to clamp the raised groove guard formed around the rim of the disk so that when the cartridge is pulled out of the device the disk remains therein. The clamping mechanism includes a pair of clamping fingers with projections adapted for engagement with the groove guard when the forces pulling out the cartridge are transmitted to the disk. A linkage or a mechanism comprising a wedge and tapered surfaces is operatively connected to the clamping fingers in such a way that when a pulling force is exerted on the disk and the clamping fingers, the linkage or mechanism causes the clamping arms or fingers to move further toward each other, thus exerting a stronger clamping force on the disk.

  • Patent number: 4278258
Abstract: A container for holding at least one recording disk, including a container base formed with a circular opening and a disk holding space, and engaging and holding members movable between a first position for engaging and holding the disk and a second position for releasing the disk from the holding engagement, the engaging and holding members in the first position preventing the disks from coming out from the disk holding space. The disk held in the container can be placed on a turntable of a disk playing system without requiring user's manual attention. Such a disk playing system includes, besides the turntable, a loading base, release pins, a disk cam for actuating the release pins, and a vertically moving screw. When the disk container is placed on the loading base, the disk cam rotates to move the release pins so as to bring the release pins into engagement with the respective engaging and holding members, and to move the latter to the second position in which the disk is placed on the turntable.
