  • Patent number: 4737957
Abstract: In a digital transmission system wherein a plurality of transmission control units each of which has received data error detecting means, data storing means, receiving means and transmitting means are successively connected by a transmission medium, the transmission control unit is operated in a through mode in which received data is directely forwarded under a normal state, and when an error has been detected in received data, the operation mode of the transmission control unit is switched to a store-and-forward mode in which a group of received data are first stored and are thereafter forwarded only in the case of the absence of an error. When normal data have been continuously received in a predetermined number of times in the operation in the store-and forward mode, the operation mode of the transmission control unit is switched to the through mode.

  • Patent number: 4724367
Abstract: A system for driving a motor, comprising a DC power supply source, a chopper apparatus switching voltage of the DC source to convert it into predetermined voltage and a shunt DC motor, wherein an armature and a field winding are connected in series and both ends of the series circuit are connected to the positive and negative terminals of the DC source and at the same time voltage at the junction point between the armature and the field is controlled by the chopper apparatus, is provided.

  • Patent number: 4684859
Abstract: A novel control system for the motor or the like is disclosed which operates basically on principle that the power flowing in during the conduction of a chopper gate of a chopper device is integrated, and when the integrated value reaches a target, the gate is turned off, thereby realizing the control of an instantaneous value and high response and stability without the conventional feedback control. The target value is also reduced against the excess of the source voltage under variations in load for the regenerated power. Further, a constant-voltage control limiter is added to improve the ability to prevent a slip and race.

  • Patent number: 4641237
Abstract: A bus control method and apparatus wherein buses each coupling a pair of processors are serially arranged rectilinearly into a cluster bus which is arranged in one direction and wherein a plurality of such cluster buses are arranged in a plurality of directions as a lattice pattern to form a multiprocessor system. Each of the processors supplies the respective cluster buses with send request and priority processing level signals and receives a receipt acknowledge signal from another processor on the same cluster bus, thereby to occupy said cluster bus, so as to transfer data to the other processor on the cluster bus.

  • Patent number: 4627055
Abstract: A decentralized processing system having a plurality of subsystems of the same type which are connected to one another. Each subsystem has a diagnosis means for diagnosis of failure in other subsystems, and functions to take a suitable countermeasure in response to the result of the diagnosis. When a failure has occurred in any one of the subsystems constituting the processing system, each subsystem can conduct a suitable fault time processing in accordance with the state of the failure. After the recovery from the failure, each system can execute a processing for recovering the ordinary status. The subsystems can correspond with each other to conduct the processings in synchronization as required. It is, therefore, possible to attain synchronous operation of two or more subsystems in various control systems or the like.

  • Patent number: 4510492
Abstract: A message communication method and system in which a message signal to be communicated includes a function code signal portion and a data signal portion, the former being an index to the content of the latter and forming the substantial part of the message signal, and in which such a message signal is communicated not only among equipment blocks connected with one and the same communication line but also among those connected with different communication lines coupled with each other through a common equipment block connected with both of the coupled communication lines.

  • Patent number: 4384695
Abstract: An improved method for controlling the rate of deceleration and a point of stopping of a vehicle. Upon passing a first position marker, a first deceleration pattern is produced in an arithmetic circuit for stopping the train at a first predetermined point. Second and third deceleration patterns are produced when the vehicle passes a second position marker. In situations where the first deceleration pattern is a proper one, the vehicle velocity is subsequently conformed to the second deceleration pattern which controls the velocity of the vehicle at a lower deceleration rate than the first deceleration pattern, and stops the vehicle at a predetermined target point.

  • Patent number: 4354267
Abstract: There is disclosed a data transmission system comprising a first and a second loop transmission line for transferring data in its clockwise and counterclockwise directions, respectively. In each loop transmission line a plurality of transmission control units are connected in series. Further, a plurality of terminal units each are interconnected with its associated first and second transmission control units correspondingly and respectively located in the first and second loop transmission lines. Each of the transmission control units in the first loop transmission line is interconnected to a corresponding one of the transmission control units in the second loop transmission line by a bypass line so as to make a pair, so that a fault in the loop transmission line may be detected and a loop transmission line bypassing the fault point may be established without using any master transmission control unit.
