The organic EL element includes a first electrode, a second electrode connected to a second power supply terminal, and an active layer interposed between the first and second electrodes. The output control switch is connected between the second terminal and the first electrode. In a part of the pixels, a conductive path electrically connecting the first electrode to the first power supply terminal is broken at a portion which connects the output control switch to the first electrode.
