  • Patent number: 4612159
Abstract: A nuclear fuel element comprises plutonium-containing fuel pellets filled in a cladding with both end sealed with end plugs. One end plug has a filter at the inside and a passage communicating with the space in the cladding through the filter. The passage is sealed at the surface part of the end plug by welding. The filter and the passage in the end plug are utilized for withdrawing a gas in the cladding filled with the fuel pellets in a process for fabricating the nuclear fuel element. The filter traps nuclear fissionable materials in the cladding to prevent its leakage to the outside. After the withdrawal of the gas, a helium gas is filled in the cladding through the passage in the end plug. After completion of these operations, the passage in the end plug is sealed as mentioned above.

  • Patent number: 4529189
Abstract: The present invention is characterized in that the separating hook and hopper roller are adapted to be mounted on sheet guides of the hopper, one end of said sheet guide being adapted to be engaged in a groove of a pressure sleeve so as to make said pressure sleeve movable along said end. A movable shaft is adapted to pass through said pressure sleeve, and a spring is provided between said pressure sleeve and said sheet guide which biases the pressure sleeve to the hopper roller side, whereby at least the hopper roller, separating hook, pressure sleeve and spring at the print line end are made movable with the sheet guide being moved; thus by manually moving only one of the sheet guides, the sheet guides are made to meet right and left ends of the sheet, and the hopper roller is also made to select the correct position of the symmetrically central position of sheet width.

  • Patent number: 4522051
Abstract: A continuous rolling mill has horizontal roll stands and vertical roll stands disposed alternatingly with rolling guides between the work rolls of adjacent roll stands. The roll stands together with the rolling guides are movable in the direction crossing the rolling line to an exchanging position where the work rolls and the rolling guides are exchanged with new ones. The continuous rolling mill further has a supporting frame supporting the roll stands and movable to the exchanging position thereby to bring the roll stands and rolling guides to the exchanging position, and an offsetting device adapted to move one of the adjacent roll stands relatively to the other of the adjacent roll stands and to the frame in the exchanging position such that the rolling lines of the adjacent roll stands may be offset from each other.

  • Patent number: 4342520
Abstract: An inkribbon feed mechanism is disclosed which feeds the inkribbon by utilizing power of a spacing motor by which a print head is transversed. The inkribbon feed mechanism comprises commanding means which detect a command element for reversing the inkribbon near one end of the inkribbon, an arm member which interlocks with the command means via a spring member and is pivotably supported by a pivot, a planetary gear member which is provided at one end of the arm member and is rotated by the power of the spacing motor via a drive gear member. In compliance with the alternate rotation of the spacing motor, the planetary gear member engages with a gear member of one reel or is slightly moved in orbit by the drive gear member so as not to render a rotational force to the reel. The arm member is pivoted by the command means to change the object which the planetary gear engages.

  • Patent number: 4200971
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a cup-shaped coil assembly is described which employs a coil bobbin of a special design. The bobbin comprises a cylindrical member, a disc connected with one end of the cylindrical member to close it, a cap member detachably fitted into an opening in the other end of the cylindrical member, and a shaft disposed in alignment with the axis of the cylindrical member and having its one end attached to the disc and its other end slidably extending through the cap member. The method comprises the steps of assembling a coil bobbin in the manner mentioned above, and forming a coil around the bobbin by a skewed winding of wire, pressing the cap member into the cylindrical member, diametrically enlarging an opening formed at one end of the coil, and removing the cap member from the coil formed.
