  • Patent number: 5139227
Abstract: A proportional flow control valve in which a valve seat is provided in the proportional flow control valve body, a valve piece is slidably mounted on a movable iron core, and is urged toward the valve seat by an elastic member disposed between the valve piece and the movable iron core, and a holder is fixedly mounted on the movable iron core so as to limit the movement of the valve piece toward the valve seat caused by the elastic member. The proportional flow control valve is high in reliability in which the leakage of fluid is substantially zeroed even when fully closed, and the difficulties are eliminated that, when its flow rate adjusting means engages with or disengages from the valve seat, hammering sounds are produced and the flow characteristic is adversely affected, and which is simple in adjustment and is maintained correct in flow characteristic at all times.

  • Patent number: 5081978
Abstract: An auxiliary air control valve for engines wherein the valve has an intermediate peripheral portion enlarged to present a small gap to the valve seat port, and the front side of the intermediate peripheral portion and the rear side thereof formed to have slant surfaces so as to be diametrically and gradually reduced so that when the cooling water is at a low temperature, the front slant surface is positioned at the valve seat port, when the cooling water is at an intermediate temperature, the intermediate peripheral portion is positioned at the valve seat port, and when the cooling water is at a high temperature, the rear slant surface is positioned at the valve seat port, thereby being capable of controlling the quantity of intake air through the bypass passage.

  • Patent number: 4947890
Abstract: A flow control valve includes a hollow cylinder 32 having an open end and a fluid flow port 31 formed in its circumferential wall, a solenoid coil disposed around the cylinder, and a valve member 41 slidable within the cylinder in response to an amount of power supplied to the solenoid coil for adjusting an opening area of the fluid flow port to control the flow rate of the fluid flowing through the fluid flow port and the open end of the cylinder. A protective inner-diameter portion 32a formed in the open end of the cylinder is provided in association with a fluid flow path including the fluid flow port and the open end of the cylinder for preventing any foreign matters entrained in a fluid from being caught in the clearance defined between the hollow cylinder and the valve member by providing an annular clearance between the cylinder and the valve member.

  • Patent number: 4880207
Abstract: A cup-shaped spring holder having a flange on the outer periphery on the open end side is secured on the end portion of a valve shaft which protrudes outwardly from a carburetor barrel, with a clearance for coil insertion provided between the barrel and the open-end side. An outer torsion coil spring is fitted in the aforementioned spring holder to restrain an axial shift of the spring. And one end of an inner torsion coil spring fitted on the aforementioned shaft end portion is led out through the aforementioned clearance and retained by a spring retainer on the aforesaid barrel. Because of the above-described constitution, this invention features simple construction, easy manufacture, increased mechanical strength, a less number of components parts required, easy assembly, and improved valve shaft strength.
