  • Publication number: 20050167182
Abstract: To provide an electrically driven power steering apparatus with a simple structure, which can prevent overloading of an electrical motor and a power transmission system, an absorbing member (121) is attached to a rack shaft (112), and is brought into contact with a rack housing face at a stroke end of the rack shaft (112). The absorbing member (121) at least partially has a material having a Young's modulus of 100 to 900 Mpa, and thus it is possible to effectively relieve an impact at the stroke end.

  • Publication number: 20050061575
Abstract: An electric power steering apparatus capable of outputting an auxiliary steering force by an electric motor, includes a support device (20) supporting a rack shaft (10). The rack shaft (10) has support device guide surfaces, i.e., rolling surfaces (10b, 10b) extending in a longitudinal direction in at least two portions on an outer peripheral surface. The support device (20) has cylindrical rollers (23) rolling on the rolling surfaces (10b, 10b) in directions intersecting each other while pressing the rolling surfaces in a case where the rack shaft (10) is viewed in the longitudinal direction. Therefore, the rack shaft (10) can be supported by the cylindrical rollers (23) with a low friction, and the rolling surfaces (10b, 10b) provided on the outer peripheral surface of the rack shaft (10) are pressed by the cylindrical rollers (23), whereby the rack shaft (10) can be supported from two different directions.

  • Patent number: 6849025
Abstract: A frictional roller transmission comprises a first roller and a second roller disposed around two shafts which are separated from each other in such a manner that the two rollers are not brought into contact, a third roller and a fourth roller which are brought into contact with both the first and second rollers and are disposed between the first roller and the second roller and on an opposite side over a line connecting the center of the first roller and that of the second roller. An angle made by a tangential line between the first roller and the third roller (or the fourth roller) and a tangential line between the second roller and the third roller (or the fourth roller) is set at two times as large as an angle of friction obtained from a coefficient of friction between the respective rollers or smaller.

  • Patent number: 5769338
Abstract: There is provide an improved pulverulent body processing apparatus that is substantially free from abrasion and cleavage of the pulverizing medium to allow prolonged continuous operation and also free from small pieces of the slit member and the pulverizing medium that can be produced as a result of such abrasion and cleavage and mixed with the material being pulverized and hence can efficiently operate to produce an evenly pulverized product.

  • Patent number: 4988837
Abstract: The position on a surface of an implement including a tuned circuit with a predetermined resonant frequency is determined and displayed by an apparatus having a housing including the surface. A tablet in the housing includes coils arranged in two coordinate directions parallel to the surface. The coils are excited with AC energy having approximately the same frequency as the resonant frequency. The tuned circuit interacts with the AC energy to change the AC current flowing in the coils as a function of the implement on the tablet. An electronic two-coordinate direction display in the housing configured as a plate is superposed with and lies in a plane parallel to the tablet and the surface. The display responds to the change in AC current resulting from the interaction between the AC energy and the tuned circuit to indicate the position of the implement on the surface.
